Why?

Because we didn't get to go!

We purchased our DEE-lux, all-inclusive package 6 months ago and were scheduled to go out this Sunday. Three days before we received a call from Apple vacation telling us that the resort we were booked at was closed due to the Norovirus (flu). They asked if we wanted to go to a different hotel (site unseen) or take a refund. We took the refund.

We spent two nights at a small hotel across from the Mall of America in MN but it didn't quite match up to the sound of steel drums, sand, fancy drinks, the sound of waves, and everyone saying "Hello Mon!" as they walked by.

Oh well, we're flying to AZ in a few weeks to buy our home.... We'll leave the state that God forgot ONE of these days. :)

A woman came into my daughter's store and bought 10 new outfits for their vacation in Jamaica. She had gastric bypass surgery and wanted new clothes. They are scheduled for June. I was excited for her. Mainly because we had a sidewalk sale and she was able to purchase some quality clothing for less!!

AZ is a beautiful place. Although personally I prefer one state eastward, most specically around the city of Alamogordo. I'd move out there in a minute if it wasn't for so many things tying me up here in the state of missery, uh, Missouri.

We didn't buy anything there since the the MOA is a complete dud as far as we're concerned. They seem to have lost all of their speciality shops and have replaced them with just more of the same. Adult cloths, kids cloths, shoes.... About 5 Payless shoe stores alone!
We're was the Discovery Store? The magic/novelty shop? The hobby stores? The book stores? The toy stores? The general science stores (like Discovery's...)?

No Discovery Store? Now what will I do? It's been 5 yrs since I visited MOA but that was a neat store. It's really gone?

Randy Wayne,

Sorry about the vacation but I am sure your wife helped you get rid of that refund money at the Mall of America!!!!! LOL!!

If that happens again and you still want to do something fun there are some website that specialize in last minute vacations that sometimes have great deals.

Actually the only thing we bought at the MOA was a bottle of..... well, I better stop there lest some people blow a gasket, but we spent a whopping 15 bucks. Most of the money went to a trio of restaurants and two nights in the hotel (with a jacuzzi tub I might add!).

There wasn't a bottle of...well...you know... the one you bought at MOA... nearby the Jacuzzi tub was there.
