I got to hear Bill Price preach last nite for the first time. Pastor Barley lost his brother this week and needed to travel to Indiana for the services.

Bill stepped in last minute to pinch hit and under the anointing of the Holy Spirit was on fire .... spanking it out of the park!!!!.

He spoke about our response to grace and the liberty we have in Christ when we surrender everything to Him ... our plans, our future, our hope, our destinies ... Laying it all at the feet of the King. ... Not because we have to but because we want to ...

His text came from Romans 5 ... and he used as examples ... the woman who anointed Christ's feet w/ her tears and perfume ... and also Nicodemus who anointed the body of our Lord w/ 100 pounds of aloe and myrhh ... all befitting the King of Kings.

Whether we are vile sinners or religious leaders the response to God's grace is to give him all the worship and praise ... and most of all turning over ourselves entirely to Him.

He was articulate, passionate, dynamic and inspiring. Some may not be able to see the talents and gifts he possesses and what God is doing in His life ... but it's becoming evident there is a call that is on Bill's life ... and a genuine transformation which God is perfecting in my good friend.

Mom was utterly impressed too ... She was reminded of a young Jack Cunningham who along w/ my dad helped to start a new work in Queens, New York in 1977.

I know the message was recorded and hopefully Bill can post it here as an .mp3.

Please continue to pray for Bill and his mother.

Where are you attending church now? I thought you went from the Breakfast of Champions church to Grace Church?

LOL!!! Yup I am way behind since I did not see that post six months ago.

I know the name Steve Barley but just can't place him in my memory. It may come to me later.

Congratulations on the opportunity to minister and pastor. I hope all is going well.

He was a UPCI missionary to Latin America during the 60's-70's... he also pastored my dad and mom in the Bronx, New York from about 1974-1976.

He is also mentioned and interviewed in Fudge's book.

Here is a picture Bishop1 posted of Pastor Steve w/ his first wife in 1958
