View Full Version : The blessing of the LORD...
Proverbs 10:22, "...it maketh rich..."
Rich...prosperous, precious, priceless, valuable, costly, plentiful, abundant, ample, bountiful, fruitful, overflowing, full, well-supplied.
God's blessings are real and true. His promises are right and just. His way is sure and clear.
"...and He addeth no sorrow with it."
There is no grief or unhappiness with what God gives. We may not see the end or know what is coming around the corner...yet we trust.
We trust the One who knows us best and loves us most will remain true to His Word.
His blessings are indeed rich...more than enough!! :bliss

I really needed to read this today.
I really needed to read this today.
God knows all things...we KNOW this, yet sometimes forget, as humans do, that is is absolute, in the truest meaning of the word.
He knows completely what we need, when we need it. As a parent wouldn't give a small child a train ticket three hours ahead of time, our heavenly Father often waits right to the last moment, it seems, to give us the answer or provide the need.
But we can rest assured that His blessing is right on time...ripe with all that we require. :friend

Jon and I were talking about this very thing Sunday. Why it seems like we're hanging off the edge sometimes before God comes through.....

I don't know, Tam...I wish I were smart enough to have the answers.
All we can hang onto is the Word...
David wrote, "I've NEVER seen the righteous forsaken..." NEVER!! The way may seem like a long time in coming, but we are NEVER forsaken...not EVER!!
So knowing that we are not forsaken, we just have to trust that a God who loves us as much as He will show up on time.
There is comfort in NEVER...there is comfort in that He KNOWS...and where there is comfort, peace can abide. :friend

Amen!!
Today I am thankful for His richness of blessing. His love and grace is from everlasting to everlasting...His mercy knows no end.
It doesn't mean that everything in my life is as I would like it to be. It doesn't mean that everyone in my life are as I would expect them to be. But it does mean that I see the best in life and in people.
This is a choice.
So today, I choose peace rather than strife.
I choose blessing rather than defeat.
I choose to be an encourager rather than a gainsayer.
I choose healing rather than sickness.
And I choose to be thankful...!!

It is all in what we choose isn't it?
It is all in what we choose isn't it?
Yes, I believe it is...
The other day I was watching Paula Deen...the southern "Hi y'all" cook. Her sons are also cooks and cook writers, and were there speaking about their mom.
She is always so bubbly and full of life, and one of them said, "It is really hard to bring our mom down."
I thought that this is the way the Saints of the Most High should be.
Sure we have problems and issues and sickness, but it's our reaction to the things that come which shows our true measure.
Am I going to bear my burden with dignity, or react in an ugly manner because I'm going through?!
It's my choice...:bliss

I love Paula Deen, she IS always so cheerful. You are right, we as people of God should be the same way. The Lord has been dealing with me about attitudes lately and this post just put the icing on the cake. I am really trying to offset negative with positive at home as well as at work. I choose to be happy. The circumstances may not always be the best, but God is. :thumbsup
