What scriptures would you use in praying the word?

Any takers?

Kutless..I have not responded before now, because I have no 'set word' that I pray, repititiously. Each day, God might lay different passages on my heart that I include in my prayer time. Different scripture applies to different situations...I use a 'prayer book' that I got through the UPC publishing house years ago- it's real good. I also made my own spiral bound prayer book. I made my kids one also, and they loved them...

I usually use the Lord's prayer as my guide, then pray His word through it.

OUR Father, (notice the plurality? No singular pronouns at all here)

Hallowed be Thy name (Praise Him)

Thy Kingdom come (What is His Kingdom? Righteousness, Peace and Joy in His Spirit) Pray this for Your loved ones

Thy will be done (His Word IS His will)
At this point I pray His revealed word back to Him

And so on...

Whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do that the Father would be glorified in the Son.

Jesus Christ, the SAME Yesterday, today and forever

For I am the LORD, I do not change;
Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.

A lot of the Psalms when in the prayer of petition.

Quotes from Isaiah are great for the praise segment of prayer time.

Many passages...

"Open thou mine eyes, that I might behold wondrous things out of thy law..."

"Search me and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts..."

"Who can understand his errors? Cleanse thou me from secret faults."

From Matthew 10:1, I pray for power against unclean spirits and for healing.

Isaiah 11:2-3...I pray for those seven anointings on the Messiah.

Psalm 139:23-24

Those are a few I pray from regularly.

More coming...

From Isaiah 50:4, I pray for the ear of the learned, and that I can speak with the tongue of the learned.

I am a firm believer in praying the Word, but we need to be careful not to let it be vain repetition.

I just pray the Word as it comes to me usually. I don't normally hunt for a scripture passage and pray it although I definitely believing in praying the Scripture..

Oftentimes I pray with my Bible open so if I'm reading and a scripture applies or if I feel inspired or led then I might pray it.

Or a scripture might pop into my head while I'm praying and I'll look it up to review it and the context etc. and then might even right it down while I'm praying.

I think we can get the Word so ingrained in us that we just pray it even without thinking.

I found a book that is tremendous for praying the Word for your children. It is "Praying God's Will for My Son". I believe that they have it for daughters also. It is published by Thomas Nelson Publishers. I found it several years ago when one of our sons was going through a real trial / Gethsemane. I had prayed all the words that I knew and was at a loss to know exactly how to pray about the certain situation. God impressed me to pray His Word. Later I found this book at the local Christian Bookstore. It is divided into sections for every aspect of life and through the past 8 years, I have used it almost on a daily basis for our children.

I also pray different Psalms when praising and worshiping.

I always use the Psalms for some reason they are good for praying.
I may pray them in NJKV OR NIV and they are still good.
I went to men's prayer meeting at our church on tues. I grabbed the Bible in my Pastor's office it was NIV and I opened up to the Psalms.
