Thnx to everyone for prayers... Day one is in the books. Things went extremely smooth today... In addition to prayer for my mother, please pray for our friend Randy. He's taken dad's death really hard, especially since his father passed away a few months ago. My father was a great influence in his life. My father got this jewish guy to go to an apostolic church. We talked about baptism for about a half hour this evening after church service at my parents church. He is seriously considering it. He says it enhances his Jewish faith. He already believes Jesus is the Messiah promised in the OT.

In the meantime I got word that four people I brought to church Easter Sunday were baptized tonight at my church. I couldn't be there for obvious reasons, however I've been promised pictures. In spite of the personal loss, God's kingdom is gaining forces.

I told people the paradox of Christianity is tough. The grief can be unbearable one moment, then the next moment when one thinks of his home on high, a sudden peace arrives and it is hard to grieve. It's enough to keep your stomach in knots for days.

Also keep my brother in your prayers. He's 21 yrs old and was very close to dad.
