I couldn't understand one thing to do about daylights savings time.

Do you have something easier to understand?

I changed the time in "My Computer", but when I log out and back in it goes back to the original time.

If you have a computer that has microsoft software ie Windows XP. Go to the Microsoft website and click updates. You must have the windows updates feature turned off.

The updates auto set my computer with the windows patch..

Click on the area with the red clock in the center of this page.

Nathan,
It says to update my Windows XP to the Windows XP Service Pack 2. I don't know if I should do that or not.

lol....how long have you had this computer? If you have had it a long time and by now have not updated to SP2 then you may have some serious security issues going on. Do you have an updated virus scanner and spyware scanner? And by updated I mean it received one just the other day not last year....

You should be getting regular updates from windows because new security risks are always being discovered

I didn't notice this until we had a lightening storm the other night and I had to shut the computer down. When I turned it on and logged back in the clock was wrong!!!!!

I, therefore, went into my Control Panel and checked in the Add or Remove Programs and it does, in fact, show that the proper download was made.

KB931836 patch

I am also upgraded to the Windows XP Service Pack 2.

So, what gives?
