I would like to know what you think. If you have not read it, please do.

Currently reading "The Shack." The author is deifnitely a gifted writer and it is an intriguing story, but I'm not too comfortable with the representations of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Wisdom. I do not consider myself closed minded or hard line, but I do consider myself to very much love God and be in relationship with God, and at the same time respect and revere him. I'm uncomfortable when sacred things are diminished to the ordinary. Rather let the ordinary aspire to the holy things. Too much literary license for me in this book.

I just finished reading The Shack about two minutes ago and my feeling is exactly the same as yours. I have always felt uncomfortable when someone refers to God as Papa or Daddy, about 40 years ago we had a well known UPCI Western district preacher come to the church that referred to God as Daddy, I never enjoyed his preaching after that.
