Special Request Baby Involved

I have a very special request.


Today we got news that a friend of ours has found out that their first child is to be born with spina bifida. the tests show that the baby has been damaged to the point that it will not have the ability to make itself breath once born. Their faith, like ours I am sure, will not allow them to abort. They have been told that when the baby is born she will be given to them to hold until she slips into our Eternal Father's hands. This is a young couple and their first child. They are not telling anyone but family as to keep people from bombarding them.
WITHOUT a miracle their baby could be born only to die within minutes.
please please please keep this family in prayer. Whatever God's will is
If they are to loose their child that they be comforted and given the peace that only He can supply.

I have been crying and praying about this every since I have heard the news. I do not think my sanity would hold up under such pressure.

The baby is due in a matter of a month or so.

jax, I can't even imagine the pain this young couple must be experiencing right now. My heart aches for them and I don't even know them. I'm headed for my prayer closet (the shower) in just a few minutes and will certainly pray for God's comfort and peace to surround them today and for the days in the future. And for you, too. Because I know this hurts you.

I don't know the entire story, but from what I'm reading, if I was this family, I'd be finding me another OB doc!!

They have been to many at this point. They are going to specialists now. They are in need of prayer. Prayer for a miracle

That's a relief to hear. It just sounded like they were accepting the fate of the child and that the medical personnel weren't willing to do anything about it!

I've seen miracles worked in the unborn. A friend of mine when she was pregnant with her second child was told he had Edward's Syndrome (I believe that's what it was called) and that it caused lesions to form on the brain. Since this was taking place in utero, the brain wasn't forming correctly, and it was likely that the infant would die soon after birth.

Her and her husband, along with members of the church fasted and prayed. She found this info out at 4 months gestation, so she had a long wait to find out if God would answer.

That child was born and showed no signs of that disease, however, the ultrasound showed the lesions on the brain before birth!!

God is a miracle worker.

Today I got the news

Our friends child was born via c-section yesterday. She was born screaming and squirming. There was a small spot of the spine exposed but it did have membrane over it. The doctors did surgery and she is expected to go home with her mommy this weekend. Now this is a baby that before birth they had said would not live beyond a few minutes. They expect that she will walk, She is breathing on her own, and crying. Things they said would NEVER happen.

Oh and she is alive beyond the 5 minutes they predicted.

OUR GOD IS ABLE
He is a good God.
