since most all wines are only 12-14% alcohol, and since you only drank 50% of the available wine, we could probably do some exegesis hyjinks and prove that there is not direct proof that you drank any alcohol at all.

It was only after my sister sent me the entire set of CDs from Seagraves Romans and Galatians class that I started to question what I had been taught concerning justification by faith. It was around that time that I found this forum.

Then of course I started talking to my then UPC pastor and realized he believed the truth too. :bliss

I don't believe so, Ron. We had dinner at Laguna Beach, CA.

Ahem!!!! I thought I heard something about us doing lunch or sumpin when you came out! I see where I rank on the totem pole, I have no idea why you would rather hang out with some pretty girl named Cassandra, rather than meeting up with some of your AFF buddies! I'm wounded dude. :tissue

Well, actually, funny story...

I went a recital at CSUF last night and at the reception following I took a glass of what I thought was Martinelli's. Then my daughter walked up and took my glass to finish it off and said, "Mom! What are you drinking". Apparently it wasn't Martinelli's. Color me oblivious!

Funny...the Title of this thread says it all...

Dark Secret Revealed....Confession....

Interesting choice of words for your new found freedom Dan...

Better to confess, than to keep in the dark secrets.

Better liberty than hypocrisy.

Better compassion than gossip.

Better green sauce than red.

So by finish it off you mean you had the first half?

Speaking of moms and drinking, after my graduation in May we were all staying at a beach house and my brother walked up behind my mom and placed an empty bear can in her hand while she was talking, and we snapped a picture real quick. Which is twice as funny since my mom is so adamant about not drinking.

But although he was accused of being a winebibber he never was.

33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! 35 But wisdom is justified of all her children

That is hilarious, is your mom still as animated as she was way back when? I remember her having a big personality! If so, I imagine that she had a few things to say to you and your bro. after that! LOL. :ursofunny

No one wants to touch it but water to wine?

I know there are studies that Jesus did not turn it into wine with alcohoilic content.

At the least he's light PAJC ... with his view that we are justified at repentance and sins being remitted at baptism... most CLCers are walking away w/ this divergent view from the traditional Bernardian view that says all 3 steps must be completed to be fully justified.

DA,

So can we call her Cassie??

Did you initially meet through the SYN dating service? :)

How about a thread on the bolded part?? Let's discuss what D. S. is teaching/ has taught. He is not hiding it and this should be a very valid and pertinent discussion.

If we are going to do that someone should contact him and let him answer for himself. I would hesitate to say exactly what he believes, I know how I took what he taught, but RevRandy was in the same class and took it different.

That would be great, if he would be a guest, but but whether he does or not, is of little consequence really. He is a pulic figure. He has written and spoken about this publicly and I heard him speak on it in with DB at a UGST Symposium.

I agree its open for debate, somebody shoot him an email or a phone call. How did you take what he said at UGST? One thing I have noticed and admired about DS is that he is not afraid to change his view when he comes across additional information.

since most all wines are only 12-14% alcohol, and since you only drank 50% of the available wine, we could probably do some exegesis hyjinks and prove that there is not direct proof that you drank any alcohol at all.

They can make beer from potatoes, can't they?

You still need the barley malt, not that I'd know anything about it, to make potato beer. The drink of choice that is made from spuds would be vodka. Not that I'd know anything about that either.

No alcohol for me. It dilates the cardio veins and arteries.
