Can anyone help me with the words to the old song. " Let me walk with you Jesus"

Let me walk with you Jesus
Don't ever leave me alone
For without you I would never
No, never make Heaven my home

I've been on the mountain with you Lord
I've been in the valley so low
Not one time has He failed me
When to Him with my burdens I go

So, let me walk with you Jesus
Don't ever leave me alone
For without you I would never
No, never make Heaven my home

I can't remember if there is any more.

That is part of the song but there is another verse that goes something like

he found me when I was downhearted
he found me when I was so blue

You found me when I so lonely
You found me when I was so blue
You found me when no one could help me
And I didn't know just what to do

This is how I remember the second verse

The trouble with those old songs is that we all remember them a little differently. That is one of the songs I sing (to the Lord) when I am walking and I sing it like this.

1st verse
I've been on the mountain with Jesus,
I've been in the valley so low,
And not one time has He failed me
As to Him with my burdens I go.

chorus
Oh, let me walk with You Jesus,
Don't ever leave me alone,
For without you I would never,
No never make Heaven my Home.

2nd verse
You found me when I was so lonely,
You found me when I was so blue,
You saved me when no one could help me,
And I didn't know just what to do.

3rd verse
If I had all the wealth of this world,
If I had all that money could buy,
And had not the love of my Jesus,
I would rather be dead than alive.

4th verse
I love to walk here with Jesus,
Each day I'm surrounded with love,
And someday we'll walk there together,
In that beautiful home up above.

I had forgotten that 3rd verse, and I don't remember hearing the 4th. But thanks for posting them. It is interesting how words get changed to old songs. Different churches seem to have their own version. I love this song. We still sing it at our church sometimes for altar call.

I made up the 4th verse several years ago.

I love singing in Spanish at my all-white church! They think it's cool and they never know when I mess it up! (of course, my wife always lets me know ;))

:toofunny

You're reminding me of a time when my daughter was singing so beautiful in Spanish! Beautiful - Melodic song! She doesn't know a lot of Spanish.

Some girls were raving over it and asked her what she said. "Do you want to go to the store and buy some Fritos?"

This is one my favorite songs. I think I have it on an OLD record by the Urshans.

At ABI we girls sang it with alterations....Let me walk with ....(name of current heart throb)
and instead of heaven, filled in the name of the state the desired "boy" was from. Oh, how silly we were.:heeheehee
