Every once in awhile when I get on the forum and start reading the posts, the "system" decides (without my permission) that I've read every new post on the forum. IS THERE A WAY TO RESET THE UNREAD POSTS/THREADS BACK TO THE LAST TIME I LOGGED IN? In this case that would be 2 or 3 days ago.

Try logging out after you post and then click New Posts or Todays Posts. If you stay logged in for some reason the amount of new posts are greatly diminished.

I must have been unclear. I meant is there a way to reset the unread messages back to the other day...the last time I was online? It automaticly marked every posts read earlier while I was reading a thread. I should be looking at 2 to 3 days worth of unread messages, but I'm only getting the last few minutes. every thing else shows that I've read them inspite of the fact that this happened within the first 5 minutes of me logging on and I didn't even get into the fellowship hall to start reading the new posts where I left off the other day.

This is what happens when you go a few days without logging on. As far as I know, there is no way to undo it. In fact, if you stay too long on any particular thread, say, one that has a lot of posts you need to catch up on, the system will treat you as if you have read every thread and post already. It can be aggravating, that's for sure, but there's no way around it.

There is a way somewhere/somehow. I have been on forums where I could reset the unread posts to the last time I logged in/1 day ago/2 days ago/ a week ago...and so on. This forum may and may not have that option hidden somewhere, I don't know. But there is a way to do this in at least some forums.

Problem with that is that it did it before I came into the fellowship hall, so I don't even have that option today.
