Dad's been out of town two months.
He and the boys are out of practice.
Seems like a fine time to make a music video,
so we did!
This is a song I wrote called Horse Trough.
Goes like this:
I used to be a dopehead and a drunkard,
I smoked and drank and cussed,
and I did a lot of other bad things!
But God had mercy on me,
and He called me to repentance,
Now I read the Bible, pray, preach,
play the lead guitar, and sing!
I was baptized in a horse trough down in Arkansas,
Brother Lonnie Jones put me under in Jesus' name!
And God filled me with the Holy Ghost in Texarkana, Texas;
Now I'm tellin' ev'rybody just as loud as I can possibly sing!
Well, when God began to deal with me about my sins,
You know, I told the Lord I'd quit
if He would take all the desire away.
And He healed me from what I had done to myself,
and called me to His altar;
He filled me with His Spirit,
and that's why I can tell you today....
That I was baptized in a horse trough down in Arkansas,
That Apostolic preacher put me under in Jesus' name!
And God filled me with the Holy Ghost in Texarkana, Texas;
Now I'm tellin' ev'rybody just as loud as I can possibly sing!

Well, if you can feel God calling you to serve Him,
There are certain things that you are gonna find yourself a-wantin' to do!
Because a right relationship with God starts out with repentance,
And what Jesus did for me, I know that He can do for you!
So come on and get baptized, you don't have to be in Arkansas;
Let this Apostolic preacher put you under in Jesus' name!
And God will fill you with the Holy Ghost,
you don't have to go to Texas,
And you can get real happy and write yourself a song to sing!
