EVANGELIZING the lost,
ESTABLISHING churches,
EQUIPPING the saints,
EXALTING Jesus Christ

Dear Precious Partners in Missions,

2 Cor. 5:20, 'Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us…”

Last Saturday we took a group of people to a village back in the interior called Union Dos Palmares. It is in the interior way beyond the sugar cane fields and the groves of trees, where there are no street lights and pure darkness. It is about an hour and a half drive if not more from our home. Today I read in the newspaper that Sunday night on that same dark road in the middle of the sugar cane fields where we had traveled the night before, a bus full of tourists was robbed. They took everything that they could get a hold of, money, necklaces, bracelets, and any electronic devices that the people had. I have never been out at sea on a boat let alone shipwrecked but I think that I am starting to get a mere glimpse of some of the feelings that Paul had during his missionary journeys. (2Co 11:25) “Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep.”
My heat is so burdened for the masses of people here in this vast land, multitudes, headed for Hell. There is such a shortage of missionaries in this harvest. Please pray for us and more laborers in this area and other needy areas around the world.

We are constantly traveling and our lives are always in danger. We face danger not at a distance but right there in front of us. We even have so called “shipwrecks” where there seems to be nothing but confusion on all sides and no hope whatsoever because everything is out of our control but that is when my Jesus steps in and takes control! (Act 14:19) “And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.” (Act 14:20) “Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.” He can calm the storm that we are in or prevent it. When we come through a storm we get up, dust ourselves off and get going again. He has the all knowing power and wisdom in all things. Thank the Lord He is watching over us in these dangerous so dangerous places we go to preach the gospel.

I thank God that I can count on Him to protect me, my family, and my church family. Missions is a dangerous life but yet for those who are truly called a very rewarding one when you see all those lost souls realizing that they still have a chance; that their potential life is not just the monotonous one that they live but can be so much more when they surrender it to Jesus Christ.

Prayer requests:

1. our spiritual growth

2. Health and strength for the work that we have ahead of us

3. Continued work on the independence of the churches from us and dependence on Jesus Christ

4. Souls saved and taught to be disciples

5. Growth in the faithful ones, and a stronger burden for those that are still lost

6. Growth in the churches as a whole

Please help us to sow the Kingdom of the Lord here in Brazil. Thank you very much for praying for us and supporting us in this pilgrimage of service for which we are burdened everyday. Thanks for your part in our lives and ministry; we are encouraged and blessed.

May God continue to Bless!

I personally know that Brother Chad and his family have been without hardly any help at all the last few months. Here are some pictures I have of him helping a poor family build their home. If anyone would feel to help them you can send to my home address earmarked for Chad. Thanks. I just wanted you folks to know he is for real and not some fly by night.
