There may already be a thread started about this but I haven't seen it. My home computer has crashed is I am posting this from my Mother's home.

My first Pastor, as I grew up in Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Memorial night in his sleep after a prolonged illness. He has been Pastor in my life that gave me an excellent Biblical foundation, and began a love for the word in my heart that continues to this day.

I just wanted to honor him and his life. When I was young we had prayer meetings on Tuesday nights and I loved to hear him pray. He prayed for all the families in the church. He can't pray now, but I have committed myself to pray for his family now...that his children and grandchildren would be saved. I know that was his desire.

My family came into the church under his ministry and I will never forget or regret my Christian heritage.

Bro. Kearney, may you rest from your labors in the arms of God.

With Love & Respect,
Rhonda [One of the Cyprus girls]

Pastor Kearney was my Presbyter and a good friend for many years. He was extremely intelligent and a lover of people. We pastored less than 10 minutes from each other for 13 yrs. I always admired his fatherly wisdom. He has gone to his reward! Thank God for the promise we have of eternal life!!!

May his family be blessed and comforted during this time.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Busch Funeral Home in Elyria, OH on Friday, 5-31 and the funeral will be on Sat. @ 12 Noon.

Thank you for the responses. My sister Mona was there and the funeral was bittersweet. So many were saved under his ministry but so many of his own family members lost. Please pray for his children and grandchildren.

I will be forever grateful for the firm Biblical foundation he provided my family and I. I do love him and am glad he is resting from his labors.

The Forbush family were always favorites to visit and preach in Elyria. I even remember them and think of them when I think of my neices who were adopted from China.

Blessings, Rhoni
