On Sunday, June 8th we will have our first church service in Boyd,TX, just north of the D/FW metroplex. Boyd is a small town, but in an area that has very few oneness churches, we will be the only church in our town that baptizes in Jesus' Name. Your prayers are appreciated.

He is not actually in North Dallas... he is either in North Texas being Boyd that is located in Fannin county which is up towards oklahoma or in Boyd thats over on the Ft worth side... I am in what is actually considered the North Dallas metro.

Yea, that is true in that case but you was in west LA it wouldn't take over an hour to get to another point in west LA unless the traffic was backed up(which is possible too!)

Dallas is very large... it takes a good couple hours to span one side to the other.

I use to love traveling around Loop 12 and Beltline Road. Sometimes I really miss Dallas, and especially Oak Cliff. Would really like to see where I grew up. It has changed so much I know.

Ok Mark so that answers the question... they are about 62 miles from what is considered North Dallas :) Over towards the Ft Worth side of the metro... No where near Dallas really well considering...

The Boyd Yellowjackets ...

My kids went to school in Newton, Texas.

In 2004 Newton and Boyd played for the Texas AA State Championship at ISD stadium in Waco.

New Life Apostolic Church

newlifeapostolicchurchofboyd.com

Doctrine is basically Acts 2:38, "3-step" to some folks, holiness/modesty (but the emphasis is on the inside I rarely will mention clothing,etc.-I believe in modesty, but not necessarily with the same emphasis as major hard liners.)

Mainly what I want to do is give the area a good live church. I have been visiting churches in the area for a year. I have gone to baptist, AOG, indepentent pentecostal, independant oneness, and upc that is about 15 miles away. No one is having revival,(growing) and quite frankly there is not a big difference in any of the churches that I visited, except for official doctrinal statements. I want these people to experience a God who is not dead, who is alive and able to be present in their lives, not just a mental knowledge of God. A relationship and daily walk with Jesus Christ, and to know the power of the Holy Ghost.

I need God to help me with the things I can do-Bible studies, preaching, etc.
And I especialy need Him to do what I cannot do-baptize these people with the Holy Ghost, heal their bodies, do miracles. This is an area that is hungry for something more than the dry religion that abounds everywhere.

Our sunday services are going to be 3:00pm, we have had a great response so far, alot of people are enthusiastic about a 3pm service, and it is likely people who attend the traditional churches (a TON of baptist churches out here) will visit us in a 3:00pm service.

All prayers are welcome. Pray for God to fill people with His Spirit.
