View Full Version : Dr. Vaughn...I know you and your wife!!
Have just discovered that you are married to Michelle and I am her Aunt Jo. My children grew up in Bogalusa with the last name Misita. Give Michelle a hug and ask her to send me a private message. Shane, I have met you a very long time ago at the Misita home :bliss on Dogwood.
Many blessings.

Oh wow! How amazing... such a small world.... I get soooo sick of hearing about her aunt Joetta... she always talks about you,, you made such an impression upon her life...
She dresses like you,.,,, and says that in the family you were the one she always wanted to be like.. trust me people tell her all the time in the family that is the new joetaa.. lol
Its wonderful to meet you,, she will be thrilled
Wow is right! Michelle is darling! It has been waaaaaaa too long since I have seen her. It is such a nice feeling to know she has such good memories of me. Thank her for me. :)
I dearly love Nelwyn, her mother, and the rest of the family. We had some fun times!
Well, Dr. Vaughn, I am delighted you have mesmerized this board with conversation and interest. :):) My husband is the bible scholar and he does the posting on this board.
Most do not know we are husband and wife except for a few close friends.
Shane,
many blessings on the board. My fleshy self has almost said something about some angry posters who are not respectful to you as well others. Nevertheless, most folks on this board are wonderful people who love the Lord.
Tell Michelle to send me a private message and I will send my email.
May blessings overflow abundantly as you teach the Gospel.
Much love to you and your family, Aunt Jo

Hey! I was respectful enough. Once. Then I got old and mean.
Are you and your husbands Branhamites also or traditional Pentecostals?

I won't try to answer for him but it is my understanding that he does not idolize Bro. Branham nor treat his writings like Scripture. He just agrees with some of the things Bro. Branham taught over the years.

I have heard that Minister Louis Farrakan teaches self reliance for Black folks and I agree with that but I don't plan on buying any of his tapes or reading any of his books anytime soon.
I am also sure there are few nuggets of good wisdom in the Koran but I also don't spend time reading it or listening to Imans.
Helllooo CC ...Oh heck, u are not old and u are not mean. :) Anyone who rides on a cycle can't be too old.
Why no, in fact, I had never heard of Branhamites until Dr. Vaughn came on this board.
My husband was born on a UPC pew.... My dear husband's Dad was one of the most upstanding UPC preachers in his time. My dh and his siblings are filled w/ love for others. They are the kindness and nicest people one could ever meet. Also, the most intelligent. Have know all of them nearing 20 years and I love them more today than yesterday. My husband introduced me to the UPC ...I had been Baptist all my life. After being baptized in Jesus Name and receiving the Holy Ghost... my life is joyful and I am always praising the Lord.
Also, I can tell you positively Dr. Vaughn is NOT a Branhamite. All I have ever known is that Dr. Vaughn and Michelle are Jesus Name Pentecostal.

Joie,
Glad to hear you and your husband are not Branhamites! Thank you for the kind words.
I so want to go riding tomorrow but I inured my good shoulder this week and can't move it certain directions and since the other shoulder is already a bum one with a calcified tendon I am hesitant to get on an almost 800 lb motorcycle with two bad shoulders!
I am going to try and be patient and give it one more week but this spring / summer weather just calls to me to get on the open road!!

I'm not here to defend Dr. Vaughn, but does a belief in serpent seed make a person a Branhamite? Wasn't the serpent seed doctrine around before Bro. Branham came along?
The other question about Bro. Branham being THE LAST PROPHET for the church age might be considered cultic. I am sure there are others who believe Bro. Branham was a prophet but not the last prophet and the only real prophet for this part of the church age.

If you had been around here for any length of time before becoming the king of new threads you would know I am just a big ole warm fuzzy personified.
Well, ok, a warm fuzzy with a very dry sense of humor.
You just have to understand I am a big believer in the truth in the saying someone else posted on this thread that if it walks like a duck it most likely is a duck.
I do not believe for one minute you just have a passing interest in William Branham and his teachings.
I do not believe you just think he was a great preacher with some good ideas.
Just about all of your bazillion threads have had an obvious agenda even though you have denied it.
They almost all have dealt in indirect way with William Branhams doctrines. You were clever (or at least think you were) by not directly framing them that way but if you are the Christian you say you are I don't think you will deny that your intent was to promote his doctrines and views on those subjects by starting those threads.
By the way have you answered St. Mark's very easy two questions yet?

OK, Dr. Vaughn,
1 You answered that yes, you believe in the serpent seed doctrine as taught by Bro. Branham.
2 As to the other question about Bro. Branham being the last prophet, you kinda danced around that one. You said that Moses and Elijah are still coming. Does that mean that mean you do not believe that Bro. Branham is/was Elijah and that another is coming who is Elijah? Or does that mean you believe Bro. Branham will come back as Elijah? Also, if Bro. Branham is/was a prophet, is it possible for another prophet to appear since Bro. Branham's death?
3. Evidently you are quite familiar with Bro. Branham's teaching. Could you give us a list of things taught by Bro. Branham that you do not agree with and reasons why you do not agree with them?
4. Do you think Bro. Branham was ever wrong about anything he said?

I do not believe Bro. Branham will return as Elijah.. he is dead.. "it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement"
I absolutely believe Bro. Branham was wrong on several things..
For instance he stated that the Father determines the blood type and we now know that is not true....
He was human, not Divine.... but when he said "Thus saith the Lord" he had a Word from God.... and I revere that

Sam, They believe that Branham was the Last voice for THIS AGE. Elijah and moses are coming back for the Jews.
I know Vaughn is going to fight me on this, but it is absolutley true that many Branhamites ONLY listen to his tapes nothing else. I know this! In fact, the ones I was associated use to always try to give us his tapes and booklets. That was all they would listen to as well .
It's also true that many of their leaders believe they are theophanies of Old testament prophets come back to life thru them ( like reincarnation)

I don't get it...how come you, and you are an administrator, get to be so caddy with people? I'm not suggesting you have to love this guy and his thoughts but to be so openly disrespectful to the person ... I just don't get it. I understand that we don't all agree and that is fine, it's fine to disagree but can't it be done so with Jesus' love. It seems to me that some here can say whatever they want and it's just fine BUT for others you have to watch out for censorship! Oh and the ever lasting excuse of "I was just kidding" well that gets old too.

I have been watching and reading all of the various postings concerning you from a distance. I'm a little weary of debate and strife so I have refrained from the fray. But I do want to say that I believe you are a man who is hungry for the truth and is searching diligently. I pray, this day, an anointing on you and your quest, that the Holy Ghost will lead you and send a wonderous blessing on your family.

Raven our battle is NOT with Dr. Vaughn but his doctrine. Sometimes the battle gets a little hot and it is difficult to distiquish the two but Dr. Vaughn is not the enemy I love him I hate his doctrine. BECAUSE I believe it will ........ him.

The fact that so many people came out against these doctrines indicates that people around here care enough about Brother Vaughn to help him see areas where he's in error.
I saw where he's acknowledged that he went too far in his beliefs about pentecostal worship. His being willing to do that publicly shows that he believes in humility and does not think he's above correction. He set a good example for preachers everywhere when he made this admission. :thumbsup

I was attempting to pastor a congregation when I rennounced Branhamism it cost me deeply but I have never been sorry. The majority of the folks who were against me their children are in good Apostolic churches today. God honors humilty and sincerity.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall that night.. lol... I'm sure it was a tough time for you.... is that church still in Branhamism?

Ditto for me. I have no doubt that Dr. Vaughn is a nice man who loves God. Other than crying "hate" at the slightest provocation or disagreement with him he has been an absolute gentleman on here and displayed a kind spirit.

It later dissolved. Some of the folks are yet Branhamites but others have recovered themselves and are in good Apostolic churches.

Agreed!
CC, One of the main problems with most Branhamites is, they made a deity out of Branham... worshipping the creature more than the creator.
Salvation went from being biblically based to being MAN Based. That is, believe the prophet and thou shall be saved. I refuse to take that back because I heard it first hand not second. Their whole world and religious experience is based on one man whom they veiw as the 7th angel to the church
It later dissolved. Some of the folks are yet Branhamites but others have recovered themselves and are in good Apostolic churches.
When you pastored the Branhamite folks did you find that they would listen better if you taped your sermons onto an old scratchy poor quality reel to reel tape recorder and played them back through the sound system?:bliss

You are so funny. But honestly I would guarantee you if they were cleaned up too much there would be hell to pay. These folks are serious about everything remaining the same. I never will forget there was a man named Gilles(sp?) that was over the publications once and a word was not clear several listened to the tape it was weeks before the decided what the would was and put it in the book. Brother it cost him his job. Even though Billy Paul(Branham's son and others agreed about the word) he was out for changing the Prophet's words. Honestly they really guessed it was impossible to know what the word was. But not being true to the prophet's garbled words cost the man his job.

Thank God I am not a Branhamite! I do revere Bro. Branhams ministry but these people you talk about are just absurd

So Vaughn, is this true or false?
