Here's a favorite of mine:
Large tub of vanilla yogart
A bag of frozen strawberries (can use carton of fresh, as well)
Orange Juice
6 Bananas
I take about half of the strawberries, half of the carton of yogart, three of the bananas and about a cup (sorry, I don't measure, I just check consistency) of oj and put them in the blender for a yummy smoothie.

I make something kind of like your recipe....
1 cup OJ
1/2 banana
4-5 strawberries
Place in blender, and add 1/2 to a full tray of ice.
(For energy add 1 T of honey)
My kids love this.

Sounds good! For mine, the frozen strawberries act much the same as the ice cubes...lol
A couple of times I have tried to do a peanut butter and banana one, but I have not perfected that one...

Enough said...
I am sure you could add more strawberries or substitute the bananas with something else.
I LOVE bananas, though...and we get along, so I don't substitute.

That would be different.
I wonder how it would taste if you add your yogurt, banana's then add reeces
pieces?
This would not be a giant burst of peanut butter, but you could work on it.

That would be good, but the idea was for it to be healthy, so I am not sure on the Reese's Pieces idea. :gaga
I think the problem I had was that it had too much yogart taste for me. I haven't tried in about a year, so I don't recall exactly what it was...

You can also add spinach to any smoothie and you will not be able to taste it but will get the benefits of one of nature's power foods.

It's a 32 oz container. I didn't realize we had one in the house, but my hubby was able to find it when I asked him if he remember the exact size I bought.

Oh......I see, I did not know you were "doing" healthy.
I do not eat candy, fast food, or anything unhealthy..so the Reese's would not have been an option for me either.

Yes, you may kiss my ring......
well I don't wear a ring.........................:happydance
But seriously.....
Eating disorders nearly ruined my health...well, actually my health was going down the drain very fast.
God has really touched me, and I give Him the praise.
I eat lots of fruit, prob more fruit than anything.
I will eat at least 8 limes at one time, due to cravings I have.
Weird, I know.

I don't always do healthy, but why would you want to take a perfectly healthy and yummy drink and unhealthify it... I know...unhealthify is not really a word... :gaga

I work at a small coffee shop here and we serve Jet Tea smoothies in various flavors. I always get a sinus freeze from them.We add about an ounce of half/half or milk to make them smoother.
Cindy you might enjoy the Strawberry Banana one. :D

My current favorite:
180 mL Water (that's 3/4 of a cup for the metrically challenged...) :sorry
180 mL Almond milk, unsweetened
120 gm (1/2 cup) frozen blueberries
120 gm frozen raspberries or strawberries
1 frozen banana (optional for Cindy)
My Vita-Mix does the rest.
I use almond milk because I am trying to reduce (not eliminate...) my dairy consumption. Blue Diamond is known for producing roasted almonds, but their almond milk is such a great product, and it has just the slightest hint of the bitter edge of almond. They make four:
Unsweetened
Vanilla
Unsweetened chocolate
Chocolate (this one tastes like Yoo-Hoo)

Doesn't the acid in the limes eat the enamel off your teeth? One of my brothers used to eat lemons like crazy and that's what the acid did to his. Now his teeth are dull and yellow.:winkgrin

I did eat lemons, but I found that I liked limes more, (no seeds for one thing).
Neither are good for your teeth, but the best thing you can do, is brush immed after eating them. (My teeth are very white).

I used green leaf lettuce this morning because I am out of Kale. Not really liking that. I should have put in a banana. A banana will mask the bitterness of greens.
An excellent basic smoothie recipe to include all you need in a meal:
Basic Smoothie:
2 cups liquid (coconut water, water, juice, kefir, nettles, milks, etc.)
2 cups greens (rotate, spinach, kelp, Romaine, spring mix, asparagus, Kale, etc. - use organic)
1 cup frozen fruit (berries, mango, bananas, peaches, etc. - use organic)
1-2 Tablespoons of fat (avocado, coconut oil, cream, ghee, nut butter, flax oil, etc.)
1/4 cup protein (pastured egg, nuts, seeds, nut butter, sprouts, liver, etc.)
1/4 teaspoon herbs or spices (cinnamon, cayenne, turmeric, kelp, ginger, etc.)
(Optional) Sweetener (raw honey, maple syrup)
1/4 cup of whole food probiotics (kefir, kombucha, yogurt)
Green Monster Smoothie
2 or 3 handfuls of spinach leaves
1 orange peeled with a knife, leaving the outer white skin for extra vitamin C
1 Banana
1 Fresh Pineapple spear
water and ice
Green Apple Smoothie
1 Granny Smith Apple
1 or 2 handfuls baby greens mixture
1 fresh pineapple spear
1 banana
1/2 avocado
raw unsweetened coconut to taste
coconut water and ice
