Housewife Convicted of Frying Husband
By STAN LEHMAN
AP
SAO PAULO, Brazil (March 23) - A Brazilian housewife was convicted and sentenced to 19 years in prison Friday for killing her husband, chopping his body into small pieces and frying it. Rosanita Nery dos Santos, 52, drugged her husband in his sleep, then stabbed him to death two years ago in Salvador, about 900 miles northeast of Sao Paulo, said police spokesman Idmar Bonfim.
She then hacked Jose Raimundo Soares dos Santos' body into more than 100 pieces, which she boiled and fried before hiding in plastic bags beneath a staircase in her house, Bonfim said. He said police discovered the body parts after receiving an anonymous phone call.
Bonfim said the killing was either part of a black magic ritual or an attempt by the wife to collect life insurance worth about $34,000.
Citing testimony from the woman's relatives, he said she may also have committed the crime "to avenge many years of humiliation from her husband." He did not provide further details.
Santos denied killing her husband but said she chopped up his body, Bonfim said.
"She claims masked assailants entered her house, killed her husband and then forced her to cut up the body and fry it because that would prevent the stench of a decomposing body from alerting neighbors," he said.

Sister Alvear,
With all due respect, why would you post something so carnal, gory, and unedifying as this? I am really surprised that you posted this! It reminds me of a kind of trash TV sensationalism that is just for the sake of shocking people's sensibilities. Is there some connection to you or the Apostolic Church that this article has?
I really just don't get this. If we want our blood lust satisfied we can all just Google "death photos" or something. :thumbsdown

Oh my!!!
I used to tease my husband that if I ever wanted to kill him I'd cut him up in little pieces and put him in the feezer...hidden among the beef! LOL
Amazing that people actually do this kind of thing.

Maybe she will be on the next "Snapped" show.:p
Every once in a while I will tune into that show just to antagonize my husband.
For those who don't watch tv, it is a show that is about women who "Take Care" of their husband....he he he!!

I don't see how it has any reedeming value or what it has to do with anything but to be grotesque. It really makes no difference where it happened.
Also, isn't there a "news" section for people who want to cut and paste "news?"
Oh my! Don't let my wife read this, she may get ideas next time she is mad at me!:D

It could be that Sis Alvear, who is a missionary in Brazil, was showing a clip of the wickedness of the country she lives in.
If nothing else, it should help us to pray for missionaries in these countries, and support them with our financial blessings.

Very good!
Sis. Alvear should be the least of our worries (meaning the content of her postings).

Well, well...guess I am carnal...I thought it might give an insight of things that happen in Brazil...Was I carnal when I posted about the robbers getting in our house and holding us at gunpoint?
Last night a man pulled a gun on one of my sons as he stopped in front of our gate...I guess my son was carnal for speeding off screaming for his wife and children to get down as he was afraid the guy would shoot in the car...
And I am very carnal tonight worrying about another one of my son's who is in the jungle and I cannot get in touch with him...He is in a dangerous place...
Most cannot imagine how depraved the country of Brazil really is...but where sin abounds so much more does grace abound...
Blessings to all. Sister Janice Alvear

Yeah... but then they fed it to all the people in the restaurant. That’s where she went wrong... she should have had a little get together with all her friends and family and fed Jose to them....

Hello my friends...
Yesterday I hooked up my computer and saw that I had offended someone by posting and then I posted but felt bad about it...I am sorry that whoever you are was offended I meant no harm I really thought it would be interesting for people to know that many terrible things happen in Brazil just like in any country...
In the northeast where I live people are known for their hot tempers, killings, somewhat like the "wild west" many years ago....Political gangs...so much always going on...devil worship and fear fills their hearts and minds.
Sorry, I offended you my friend. Please pray for us as we penetrate deeper and deeper into a world much different than the American culture.
Pray for my family, my daughter in law Marcela was unable to go to church yesterday she was so upset about robbers...she had a terrible headache. Our children do not say much but having all those masked men break in our house has had it affects... However Jesus has helped us and His precious people have prayed for our safety.
Please remember our son that is in the jungle area we still have not heard from him but we are hoping that contact is made this week...
Blessings to all....Sister Janice Alvear

Sis. Alvear, I'm sorry to hear of the troubles among you! I cannot imagine! We will pray for your family.
You have a sweet spirit!
Sister Alvear

In the pressing times we live in sometimes it is so easy to have the wrong spirit and I fight it many times as our flesh would like to say so many things...but when our flesh wins I have found out afterwards we are sorry...and on especially forums we express things and people read what we write in many moods...so the same thing sounds different to many ears...
I always have this "complex" about writing telling about the needs of Brazil as some people have said such "hard" things but the church I was in last night the pastor told me to never, never quit writing because he could feel the burden in my letters...so people are different....and I probably will always beg for a people that have so little and need so much, for villages and entire cities that know nothing about this wonderful truth...I still weep when I see the idol temples and clay gods...especially when I see people praying in tears to them...
Thanks for your kind words. Sister Alvear

notice how the chickens who mouth off to others never come back like a man and acknowledge they were WRONG in their superiority.....*roll eyes*
People need to stop and count to 10 before they judge the intent of others.
I counted to 10 before hitting submit
