View Full Version : I'm Leaving.........for Three or Four Days

We're going to Ft. Lauderdale for 4 days/3 nights, leaving tomorrow morning early. It's our 30th Anniversary on Tuesday, and since we are leaving in a couple weeks for Kenya, we decided to just take a few days off now and head to Florida to relax. I will be off the forum for a few days, totally devoting all my attention to my hubby.:heart:wub:girlyluv:heart

If anything of major importance happens while I'm gone (i.e., 35 pages to find out if someone has on an earring), please save the posts for me when I get back. I'd hate to miss something of that magnitude. Meanwhile, I'll be on the beach.

We were mere babes when we married. Ha!

We had a great trip! We got in very late last night, so I actually have to go to work today, even though it's a holiday. I hate to get really far behind at church. We volunteered to bump off of our flight, so they rerouted us through Dallas and we got in about five hours later than we were scheduled. BUT.....we got $300 apiece in Northwest vouchers, so it was worth it!

Blessings to you folks. God is good...what day do you all leave on your missions trip?A week from this Sunday (July 13) at night. We fly to Amsterdam and then on to Nairobi. I'm getting very excited but a little worried about how I'm going to get everything to Kenya that I've collected over the past two years. My upstairs looks like Goodwill with all the clothing I want to take!!!!

Seriously I am glad yall had a good time... did ya run into our friend out there? ROFL! I can see it now! And if you did did he preach at ya for being on the beach?!

Mark you are indeed a special friend! LOL.... have a wonderful 4th! I Am going shopping with my sister in a few min, then spending the day with the kids soooooooooo probably wont be around here for a while today... I will of course check in from time to time to make sure you aint causin too much trouble tho!

EB must have prayed in the rain, because it poured every day. I actually sat out by the pool one morning for a while, and we walked on the beach for maybe 30 minutes. The rest of the time, it rained. I kept waiting for EB to show up in his long sleeved white shirt, but I never saw him. LOL!

EB must have prayed in the rain, because it poured every day. I actually sat out by the pool one morning for a while, and we walked on the beach for maybe 30 minutes. The rest of the time, it rained. I kept waiting for EB to show up in his long sleeved white shirt, but I never saw him. LOL!

I was kind of praying he would come on eventually I was gonna have him tell you this story but I thought of it the whole time you were there so gotta tell you. He and our mutual best friend Bro Frank Harris were driving to the store one day and as you see a lot of there was these ladies walking down the road in much of nuttin... well it was real bad this one time... and they both simultaniously rolled down their windows and yelled COVER DAT HIDE CHILD COVER DAT HIDE!!!! Well then I was there for dinner one night and they were telling me the story as we were on our way to this very nice Greek diner and driving down the road with a caravan of church people behind us... I knew something was up because EBs wife crawls in the floorboard of the backseat and starts laughing... and as he tells me this story he rolls down his window and proceeds to show me just how they did this.. SO my visual the whole week you were gone was... well I could call Sherri and tell her to run down the street in her bikini and she would find EB fast as he would be there in a heartbeat preachin at her! ROFL!!!!!!

Now you see why I prayed so dilligently for you while there!??!

BTW we just got back from South Flordia, Bahamas and Disney. Yup pretty much rained every afternoon!

Believe it or not, we do - even on vacation!!!!

In Fort Lauderdale, someone told us that the weather was pretty typical for this time of year. I should have remembered from the last time we were there. It stormed so bad that our cruise ship couldn't even make the scheduled stops in the Bahamas and it was about this time last year.

Guess we were lucky then, because ours were limited to afternoon showers.
