My oldest son will be 13 on Monday July 7!!!!
I feel like I'm 95 tonight, and have been drug through a knot-hole backwards. It's been a long two weeks and doesn't look any better for a while.
We are having his "birthday" party tomorrow night along with a 4th of July celebration here at the house. I'll take some pictures and try to post them so you can see how big Colton is getting. He's already taller than his dad!!! I'm really short compared to him and he thinks that's great. I tell him all the time, dynomite comes in small packages. He thinks he can "whoop" his momma. He tried to bust a move on me the other day at Walmart and this old man was watching and of course I had manuvered around and his arm up his back in seconds and the old man looked at him and said, "Son, you'll NEVER be able to beat yo momma, she'll ALWAYS win!!! Never forget it, she'll ALWAYS win!!"
Smart man.
Anyways, I'm gettin old and I love every minute of it.

My oldest son will be 49 before the end of this year
and he will become a grandpa before the end of this year.
My baby will be 42 in a couple of months.
You're still just a kid to me.

My older daughter just turned 13 last month, so now I have TWO teens!! (My baby is [almost] 9.) My son, who will be 17 this year, keeps reminding me that he'll be 18 NEXT YEAR!!
WHERE does the time go????? (I feel old, too!)

Mother Coonskinner,
You are indeed getting old! At least at 13 you don't have to worry about teaching your son any more as at that age they know everything! If you don't believe it just ask them.
My kids are 25, 23, and 21 with the 25 year old 7 months pregnant with our first birth grandchild. Now I feel old! You are just a young spring chicken compared to me.
We are having a July 4th weekend family get together and between our house and my daughters last night had about 15 overnight guests and tonight will have about 20!!!!!!
So naturally at 2 am this morning I was woken up to be told a hose from the swimmng pool was leaking. Arghhhh!!!!! Naturally the pool store is closed today.

This is so true! I didn't even have to ask my son - he told me. I was quite amazed to have found out that my son knows "so much." Even he can't believe how much he knows.
Aren't you all amazed by his knowledge?? I know that I am!

Not if I have another day like I did yesterday. I was soo busy that I didn't even get to take pictures, plus, he was gone all day until 4:00 and by then people were already here (uhhh ummmm they weren't supposed to show up til 6:00), but oh well, they had fun.
Company didn't leave until 2:00 AM!!!! I liked to have croaked. I was so tired.
Anyway, I made it (I think) we had fun (I think)and I feel REALLY OLD!!!!!
