I had lasiks done to my eyes. My eyes were very bad but I wasn't blind. The best thing I've ever done for myself. I bet those people who have had thier sight restored are so happy and grateful. Thus, brought closer to Jesus!

This article touched me deeply. When we went to Kenya in 2005, one of our pastors from the Sudan desert region was there and his eyes were completely white from cataracts that he had had for years. The next year, we paid to send him to Nairobi for surgery. One of his eyes was saved, but the other one had been bad for so long, they couldn't repair it. He is so thankful now that he can see his wife and children! It was worth all the money to get it done. And actually, it's not that expensive over there!
Thanks for sharing!!

We seem to have a lot of mission minded people in our part of the country. Mercy Ship, and of course Dr. Dehaven. He along with some other doctors from Mineola make trips yearly to Kenya and other parts of Africa.
You are so welcome Sherri, I knew you would like the article. Another item I read but didn't post is that a ball player with the Washington Redskins is taking a trip with the Mercy Ship to Africa. Keep them in your prayers please.
