Please pray for our troops no matter what your political leanings and feelings about the war are. I think sometimes we forget that there are real men and women (some boys and girls), living what seems like just a topic of debate for many.
I remember the story and the picture discussed here.

I pray for our troops all the time. Does not matter if you're for or against the war, they need our prayer. I was at Oakland airport on Friday. There was a group of people waiting for someone. For some reason they caught my attention. For some reason I knew they were waiting for someone who's in the military. It was weird that I felt that way. The passengers came out and sure enough there he was; an American soldier. He headed straight to that family. I got choked up when he hugged his mother, tears streaming down both their faces. I looked at him and said "thank you." It was such an honor for me to be able to thank him for his service, the sacrifice he endures for this wonderful country we live in. I will countinue to pray for all the brave men and women who serve unselfishly for us all. God be with them all.

They are all heroes! I pray for them each time I pray for safety for them and their families. When one of them loses their life I feel responsible because maybe I didn't pray hard enough.

Coming home is often as difficult or even more difficult than going to war.

Coming home is often as difficult or even more difficult than going to war.

That does seen to be very true.

A good friend of mine came home from war this past year and there are many, many divorces for his small unit!

We do need to pray for the soldiers AND their families.

Amen. Let us pray…

Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and
keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home
and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly
grace; strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give
them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant
them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Praying.

We have been out eating several times, when elderly folks come up to my husband and say, "thanks".

The last time that happened, the woman started crying.
