We have a young man about 17 who has been legally deaf since birth. He has had a tiny bit of hearing with hearing aids, but very little. The state of TN flies him to a special school in Knoxville every week for training. He is at Youth for the Nations along with 58 more of our youth and last night in the service, Benny Perez prayed for healing and Aaron was healed!!!! He can now hear so loudly that it's freaking him out. LOL! He called home and told his mom and she told everybody that came through the doors tonight. I can't wait for them to get home; they are so pumped! I'm glad my son Zac is down there.

Sherri,

That brings tears of joy to my eyes.

I contacted Paulette Galvan in 2005 around the JCM reunion time and after speaking with her a few minutes she reminded me that the only thing she ever wanted, and still wants is to have her hearing. I hope that I have the chance to sit down in heaven with her and there will be no limitations because of deafness.

Her son is studying psychology and he is my oldest daughter's age.

Thank you for sharing this miracle.

Blessings, Rhoni

I just loved Paulette and Eli! They were the sweetest couple.

Before meeting Paulette, George, and Eli - I just took a sign class to impress the teacher, but after meeting them and interpreting for her for three years...I now have a passion for the deaf.

Paulette was thought to be mentally retarded. Her family would not allow her to speak to other people. They never learned sign language. Paulette was one of the brightest and most intelligent person I ever met. She would get upset with me if I didn't tell her what everyone was saying in the lunchroom, in the hallways, at the restaurants. It opened doors for her that had been closed previously.

I remember her first date with Eli. The Christmas banquet. I helped her pick out a dress. She asked me questions like; should I hold his hand? Should i let him kiss me. It was weird. She was 30 and I was 17. I told her that you never kiss on the first date and to take his arm if he offers it when walking into and out of a building or room. She was so excited...

I am rejoicing with this young man today. I am so thankful that we have such a loving savior and healer in our Lord Jesus.

Please give us an update when you can, Sherri.

God bless.

More good news..........we had at least five teenagers get the Holy Ghost last night!

Our Sr. High Youth Pastor's wife called me and said that Aaron isn't wearing any hearing aids and he could hear them all perfectly well. I'm anxious to get him home and talk to him myself!

His mom seems so excited she's about to BURST! I enjoyed watching her tell everyone last night. And when Pastor announced it she was in tears. From one mom to another I can just only get a glimpse of her happiness. Praise God, He is good ALL THE TIME!

Great testimony! don't mean to rain on your party but is Benny Perez Apostolic, charismatic, independent or what? I think I saw him on tbn once. just curious.

I think I saw him on tbn once. just curious.I would say independent, but not classical Charismatic. I do think they baptize in Jesus' name, at least those he's closely assoicated with do. But they would not be considered "oneness". I do know he is a firm believer in living a holy life before the Lord, receiving the Holy Ghost by speaking in tongues, casting out evil spirits, healing, etc.

Strong on sexual purity, honesty, integrity, against gossip, lust, backbiting, lying, cheating, and all those other things the Bible actually teaches against. LOL! Many of them do not allow their youth leaders to date at all. They teach modesty and godliness in all things. They would teach abstinence from alcohol and other addictive substances.

They just called me and said they had to drag four of our youth out of service and all the way to their hotel rooms because they were so drunk on the Holy Ghost. I'm believing that their lives will never be the same!
