Which is the best mower. A push mower, or a ride mower?

Depends on the size of the yard and the terrain.

I also have such a little bit to mow that a rider is not worth the gas to start it up. Of course, I have a son that needs to build his muscles up, so he has been elected to be my lawn guy. :D

I have joked with him about getting a big huge 60 inch cut mower so he can just start it, drive to the other end of the yard, and turn it off. hehehe!

I would look silly mowing our 800 square feet of grass with a rider. :)

when you run out of gas, all mowers are pushers.

I can't vote. Basically we have to use a riding mower, but sometimes we need to use our push mower and weed eater.

What about blade height? Is this one of those things nobody wants to talk about? One of those questions you aren't supposed to ask?

I believe in using the highest setting (probably because I'm liberal)...

Wait, I will have to ask my wife! "Sweetie, which do you prefer using a push lawnmower, or a ride one?":hmmm

I'll have to get back to you on this she is having trouble with the clippers again!:whistle

I had to raise mine to 3 1/2" to not hit a tree root! :(

I have a self-propelled walk behind, but am really considering a riding mower. My yard is a big headache, but I just built a gate in my back onto the bayou behind my house and I will probably start cutting the grass behind my property...... ("Probably" being the most important word of this post)

I use a push mower; however, it does not have a motor. I use one of those ol' timey powerless mowers because I cannot afford the gas.

Our lawn is 'mostly' brown. Day after day of 100+ days will do that. Even with built in twice-daily sprinklers!

My lawn guys bring a push mower.....out of the garage when needed. My 9 adn 10 year old boys cut grass.... They thinks it's "fun". *sigh* but that was when they cut grass in Minnesota...It was a lot cooler there than it is here in Kansas!
