I have a book authored by him titled "The Mystery of Israel's Flag."
I also have his books on questions and answers on a CD I recently got from the PPH but I haven't looked at anything on it.
I bought it used from Amazon.com.
It has his autograph inside the front cover.

And if more would buy his books I'd be affected even more.:whistle

BTW, thanks for the kind words about my Pop. It's been 12 years and I still miss him every day and at the same time there's a lot of stuff I'm glad he has missed.

Just the turmoil in the UPC. The last few years he internalized too much. He was miserable at times. I think in many ways he aged beautifully but things beyond his control, in the UPC, really bugged him.

He was my pastor from the time I was a baby till I has 14 years old when he retired. I was still young to not appreciate the deep teachings he taught. There are some things I remember from him. He was a great man.

He was never one to get involved in the politics of the organization. I remember the times he openly spoke to people who were trying to cause division and disunity in the body.

Brother Grey and Sister Grey were awesome. I can picture him the way he slapped or clapped his hands after making a point. I am looking at the bible that they gave my wife and myself on August 22nd 1992 when we were married with Psalms 90:17 under his signature. David you are also awesome. You gave one of my daughters breathing treatments a couple times in the hospital. She is now 12 and asthma free.

Brother Grey was awesome! I miss teachers like him
.You just don't hear them like him anymore.

Dave, Your Dad was one of my Dad's mentors in the early
years in Southern CA.. He really looked up to him and your Dad
gave him a lot of sound advice and imparted much wisdom.

I believe they were also neighboring pastors at one time?
It was before my time.

I had the honor of meeting and spending some time with David Grey. I was his and Sister Grey's host and chauffeur throughout one memorable campmeeting many years ago. Fine Christian people who seemed to go out of their way for everyone.

Esther

I only got to hear in once in Texas. :)

He preached on the water coming from the temple, ankle - high...etc.

Anyway after service we discussed Ezekiels Temple and he told me an architect in his church has drawn the temple. I would dearly love to have been able to see that. :)

I didn't realize he wrote any books other than the question ones.

I found three books authored by David F. Grey on Amazon.
I ordered all three.
One was by the David F. Grey we're talking about on here.
The other two were by some other person with the same name.
I was disappointed.

I remember his stories of being pastored by Ewart, Harry Morse, Brother-in-law to Clyde Haney, almost pastoring Bro. Goss' church, having Azusa Street members in his first church, pastoring the brother of famous baptist missionary CT Studd, and a million more things.

Just one short one-

My dad was elected first youth director for the UPC and at the next gen. conf. he petitioned to get funding for the youth dept. by being able to take and keep offerings that they received at youth meetings. Oscar Vouga STRONGLY objected and argued against the proposition. Bro. Goss liked my dad and he forced it to a vote, which passed, and Bro. Vouga stormed out. That nite he and my dad got together and my dad said that Vouga was a real gentleman and they remained friends until Bro. Vouga passed away. My father really looked up to him and appreciated his preaching.

Thanks, Dave, but you don't know how much I dislike politics within the church body. I'm glad you related one with a better ending the most I've heard in this forum!

I read the story of your dad that Bro Sam gave the link to. Did your dad ever see his parents again after they left for Japan without him?

They stayed till rumblings of WW2 broke out. They came back with heavy hearts as they loved the Japanese. After the war they were too elderly to return but they sent tons of cloths in care packages to the displaced refugees.

YES...one of his trademarks. His clapping his hands was like writing SELAH at the end of a bible verse. LOL!
