View Full Version : CS Hurt In A Hunting Accident Tonight-Please Pray!
Reposted from another forum.
I am keeping this short because I am in a lot of pain, so much so that I am nauseous.
In a weird accident hunting tonight, a big deadfall fell and hit me in the head, knocking me flat.
I have a jumbo sized pump knot on the left side of my head, and have an excruciating headache.
It made me sick enough that I walked out of the woods and called my wife to bring my son to stay there and gather the dog, and take me on home.
I gave him my light, and he stayed there until he got the hound caught and drove the 4 wheeler on home.
I am pretty miserable--serious headache, even hurts to talk, and pretty nauseated.
Pray for me.

Being nauseated after being hit on the head isn't a good sign. He should get to the ER.
I am praying. Hopefully LCS willl make him go to the doctor.

Definite sign of concussion. I'd see a doc for an MRI to rule a possible blood clot that sometimes forms when one gets a concussion.

I would say that his ability to be up and feeling better was most likely attributed to those prayer warriors who, knowing CS would most likely NOT see a Doctor, stayed up all night travailing for him! :toofunny
Glad to know you're all right CS! :wave

Didn't see this until this morning but my husband and I joined
hands and prayed in agreement for you, dear Brother! May
there be no complications regarding this incident, in Jesus Name!

...now, what on earth does a tree falling on top of Coonskinner have to do with a hunting accident?

Just spoke with LCS and she said he seems to be doing fine. She woke up every hour last night to check on him and pray some more.
She tried to get him to go to the hospital, but he wanted to trust God - - nothing wrong with that!
Continue to keep him in your prayers so that God can finish the work and make sure nothing goes wrong.

Dear Friends,
This is Coonskinner on my wife's log in...
Thank you all for your prayers. I experienced a tremendous recovery overnight, and felt much better yesterday morning, with the swelling gone way down and the nausea abated.
I am not at my typical 100%, mind and body honed to a razor's edge condition, but I am close. :)
I appreciate the prayers.
Blessings,
CS

NOw I am nauseated!!!!!:club:club:club:club
He skeered the liver out of me Thursday night. He called, and you know that tone in someones voice that says "I'm hurting really bad", well that's what I heard and actually had to sit down while talking to him and yelling for Colton. The booger head didn't even tell me where he was going, so if something worse HAD happened I wouldn't have known where to even begin.:snapout
I woke him up every hour and asked him some questions and prayed for him. He woke up feeling much better, and was harassing me. So he was feeling good.
Thank God He kept his hand on my husband. Then He touched him in the night and made things better!!! Isn't that just like God. He's so good.
Thanks for your prayers and concern.
Now just pray that I don't kill him or the boys on the rest of the trip to Steadfast's house. :club:club

Well, let's just be thankful there is no drain bamage!
You should really be scared, however, if CS starts having a strange desire to wear cufflinks and listen to Christian Rock! That means the "left" side of his brain was shaken loose a bit........

CS and Lady CS - glad to hear that things are better! I just now read this thread, as I'm in Africa. Keep us posted; I'm sure Steadfast gave him a hard time over this whole thing.
Good thing CS was hit in that hard head of his.
Being hit in any other part of his body might have resulted in serious injury.
just kidding
When I heard about it I prayed for him.
By the way, I miss his posts.

What fell on his head?
AN old tree that fell onto another tree and thus, it did not fall to the ground. That tree had a huge limb on it and that was what hit him in the head as it fell to the ground.
His head is still really sore, but he is ok. It doesn't hurt unless you bump it or something. Last night one of the little boys crammed a cowboy hat down on his head and it like to have made him sick.
But let me tell you, that bump on the head didn't keep him from "throwing down some word" as Bro. White says. Whoooooo boy, did he preach last night. "The three-fold perspective of a worshipper" was his title and it was AWESOME if I do say so myself.
Anyway, thanks for the prayer. You guys are great.
