I am posting for him.
Dear friends in the homeland:
Lift up your eyes, look on the fields; they are white to harvest.
John 4:35
Lots of miles are traveled taking the gospel to the lost here in our
country In order to accomplish our goals, we follow God and His Word,
spreading the gospel in the manner that He commanded. We also have a
great asset in the church here is our people have a great burden to
spread the gospel. We are seeing new people come to the Lord every week,
We want to thank you precious prayer warriors for joining us and
helping us bring souls from darkness into this marvelous light.
A lot has happened since our last prayer letter. We are getting ready
for our regional youth convention in the state of Minas Gerais. We
have over 200 young people enrolled and we know that God is calling
many of them to work in time side by side of us in the ministry.
We had a marvelous convention in the state of Mato Grosso with Bishop
and Sister Alvear being with us and going with us over into Paraguay to
dedicate one more church. Although we do not keep formal records of
baptisms and other statistics, we are very aware of the scope of the
work, and it humbles me to think about it. One reason we do not
emphasize numbers is that we do not want to place the temptation before
the church leaders to grow those numbers for the wrong reason. We
therefore realize that any number that comes to us is very conservative
and we want to keep it like that. Mark 16:15... Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
There are many things you can do to help the work here. Our greatest
need is prayer. Prayer can do what nothing else can do and reach
further than any human effort. We are also in need of people who want
to serve the Lord by financially supporting one or more Minister's
families, so they may freely bring the Gospel of Salvation without
worrying where their next meal has to come from. The one thing that is
most important to the success of the Mission is to have dedicated
supporters who have committed a regular amount of support for every
month. We would be honored to have your you and your congregation join
us in this. Often there are special needs that arise, needs like
transportation and hunger. We need people or congregations who stand
by us every day, month in and month out. Regular monthly supporters
are the lifeblood of the work.
Having said this, we are grateful for any support. A onetime gift would
be highly appreciated. Mark 9:41... For whosoever shall give you a cup
of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say
unto you, he shall not lose his reward..
