Well I came across this website and was quite taken and interested in some of the comments. I guess I couldn't resist getting involved especially when some friends were being so blatantly attacked by (christian) people who really had no idea what they were talking about, just feeding the rumor and gossip mill. Some of you might not be so glad I joined cause I will talk real truths when I see you're blatantly wrong. I attended TBC and Gateway College and my Dad was a UPC preacher for over 60 years.. I am not UPC.. It will be interesting......Be Blessed

A better way to obtain positive reception is to have more honey in your words than vinegar. We don't mind honesty and truth speaking, but your words will be better received when done in the right spirit. Not sure what motive you had in posting your credentials, but honestly, they are meaningless here. This is an internet forum. We are all on the same level here.

Looking forward to your posts!

Yankee Land? I live below the Mason-Dixon line

Sir, if you don't live south of the Oklahoma state line, west of the Louisiana state line, and east of the New Mexico state line...it's all Yankee land. :ursofunny

(admin since there are so many Texans here, do you think we could spring for a LOne Star smilie? I could have really used one here)

Sounds as inclusive as some churches.

Oh I beg to differ with you on this Texan. Tennessee is a SOUTHERN state and if it weren't for the good people of Tennessee there wouldn't be a TEXAS! :snapout

Post away. But you should know that many of us have backgrounds similar to yours, so it doesn't really give you any leverage. LOL!!!!

I truly am sorry if you felt there was vinegar. I did not mean that at all, it was just that the first few things I read were so against someone that I know personally and that really wasn't truth so my defenses came up. It's been not easy when just because you leave a denomination (UPC) you suddenly become an outcast and decieved sinner when nothing has changed in your life except getting a closer relationship to God adn actually reading the word of God and realizing that so many things in your life were simply not truth. To all who greeted me with a welcome thank you, I know I'm not the Lone Ranger from where I came, I know there are many more, and I know many more have had to deal with the same rejections and attitudes. Thank God he loves us unconditionally and shows hie mercy and grace new every morning. If anyone was offended by remarks, i apolgize, I really did not mean to offend...... Can't we all serve God without all the criticisms and judgements..... from the pen of a spirit filled writer....Can we agree to disagree and still be brothers / sisters.. Be Blessed everyone....
