She had married the veteren when he was 86 years old and she was 19 !!!!!

Ok this is the part that got me...
Other Confederate widows are still living, but they don't want any publicity, Martha Boltz of the United Daughters of the Confederacy said Tuesday

I know there were some young boys in the Civil War. This ladies husband would have been one of them. I know of Johnny Clem who was born in 1851 and he would have only been 10 when the war broke out. That would mean this man would only have been 13. So he would have been between 13 and 17 during the war.
Sorry to sound so skeptical but I find it hard to believe that there could possibly be many more widows around.

god bless the widows, there were many boys in there teens that fought on the souths side during the war, and many boys and teens were drummers for both sides, the bullets dont show any prejudice, they killed all, too sad, dt
