Hello family
My name is Michael and I attend New Life of Albany (UPCI).
I rejoice that God has helped me find this forum and I really look forward to reading and posting.

Most of my life has involved church, but like many "hard heads", I just HAD to go my own way. But like the prodigal son, some sense hit me in the pig pen (:snapout) and I have returned to my Father's house (ALL GLORY to God and I thank Him for His Grace).
The first scripture God placed on my heart when I came home was Hebrews 12:1 and 2, and I placed part of it in my signiture as a reminder to myself, rather than a admonition to others.

I really look forward to meeting yall and spending time here :friend

Welcome to the AFF family.
Like most families, we're pretty diverse, some you can relate to and some you may not want to be associated with. Remember, we can pick our friends but we can't pick our families.

Welcome Michael! :meetya

I was a fellow Georgian for a few months back in the day. Hubby was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Augusta. :winkgrin

Loved the thundershowers everyday at sunset. :thumbsup

Or not...one day we got trapped at KFC for a bit because of flash flooding from one of those thunderstorms. It happened to sit at the bottom of a hill and the water couldn't drain fast enough. :heeheehee

Glory to God, thanks everyone for the welcome :friend

To the person that mentioned Columbus...we have a Bro and Sis Batten coming from Columbus to lead church this Sunday while Pastor is in South Africa for about a week. Their name is familiar, but don't think I have met 'em personally.

The Mrs'....:ursofunny Back in '94, I had a urge (Praise God!!!) to go to Tallahassee, so I did for a couple days. On my way back to ALbany, I stopped off at a preacher's house in Thomas county (south of Albany) to say 'hey' and fellowship some. After a few hours I said that I might as well head on back to Albany. The preacher said "no your not"...Albany had been completely flooded. Praise God for "urges" to take trips and side trips :ursofunny
