I sold a piano to a funeral home that is wanting to sell their Hammond C3 w/ Leslie 122 that is in mint condition. It appears to be a late 60's or early 70's model. They are the original owners, and it has only been played a few times a month.
A Hammond in this condition usually sells for $8,000 - $9,000. They are willing to sell it for $5,000.
As you know, this is the first time I have started a thread like this. I'm only doing it now to help them out. If someone is looking for a great deal, PM me and I'll give you their contact info.

Sounds like a great deal...........
Maybe I'm old-school - but isn't it unusual for a funeral home to go FROM an organ TO a piano? I'm glad that you were able to see them the piano - just seemed unusual to me.

The new digital pianos can play both piano and organ. Now a piano player can also play the organ. This seems to be the way most funeral homes are going these days.
The Hammond C3 and Leslie take up a lot of space, and this funeral home needs the added space.

:blush:blush - Well, duh........ :crazy Color me embarrassed. I should have realized that. It's just that when I associate you with a piano, I think only of the elegant, beautiful, classy "grand" pianos - not these new digital, anyone can make one sound good, type things. So I just assumed that you had sold the funeral home a grand. :ursofunny
