New resolution presented by the General Board.

WHEREAS there needs to be clarity as to who may speak on behalf of the District at a church disaffiliation meeting,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that Article X1X - Local Assemblies, Section 1. Affiliation, paragraph 7 (b) be changed to read as follows:

(b) Advise and invite the District Superintendent or his designee and District Presbyter to speak as representatives of the district at said meeting.

Isn't the district comprised of the ministers in the district? When is the last time people in the church were asked to vote or give their opinion on things? Maybe it's happened, but I've never seen it. I've been gone awhile so maybe things have changed. If so, then great.

I hope they scan the crowd- I'd like to get a good take on what the attendance is like this year

Attendance is horrible this year. I just got home after driving up. All stairways to the "balcony" are blocked off. When you're inside the service, there are black drapes that hang from the ceiling, all the way down to the lower seating of the "balcony." The appearance giving is that there is only sitting on the floor and the main section of seats on three sides, so the "room" looks more smaller, thus it looks fuller with people in it.

Regardless, I could see many empty seats.

Oh, and I was heartened to see a couple of members of the WWPF Executive Council at Conference. I even got their pictures.

I've been to many General Conferences in my short and meager life. It's not what it used to be.

I have never seen a coliseum draped before like it was tonight, and I've never seen so many empty seats, especially on the night the General Superintendent speaks.

CC1

With the price of gas being what it is I am not surprised that this years GC would be down in attendance.

In addition to the preachers who go for the business meetings a lot of the folks that go do so for social reasons as it is a great way to fellowship with other Pentecostals. I would imagine a lot of those folks stayed home this year.

As far as the drapes go that is not unusual when a venue is configured in a certain way they usually try to make it look as good as possible including using drapes to cover empty seats behind or directly to the side of the stage.

And the drapes would help with the sound too since they know the floor seating will be enough.

Probably Andrew Fergusen if he is from N. Carolina...he's not a kid, just looks like one. The doctor once asked him to get his mother to sign something....he's married :)

Here is is playing with us last month....

Jon,

Your group is good, but it sure is humorous to see a bunch of white oneness people jump around like some of the post-modern relevant churches these days. Nevertheless great to see some more modern/contemporary worship styles.
