I hope you remember this summer when we were praying for Timo Simeoneaux a missionary's son in Africa that had contracted meningitis( I think). As a result of the illness he lost his hearing in his left ear. I just received an email that told of his healing at conference and I wanted to share this with you.
I'm sure everyone's heard by now about Timothy's healing at Conference on Saturday night. Below you can read Vicki's account of it!
Here is what happened last night during the Foreign Mission service:
Bro. Howell had asked us to sit on the platform. He called us up while he was talking about taking care of the retired missionaries. He was told about Timo's ordeal and how FM and insurance was able to 'help' but how prayer had really 'helped' and we had a miracle. He then turned to me and asked about Timo's left ear. I said - he needs a miracle. SO, here is what happened:
Bro. Haney, Bro. Keyes, Bro. Jerry Jones, and Bro. Howell begin to pray. Bro. Haney prayed in the mic a VERY simple prayer "Lord, Timo's ears!" and that was really it. A few seconds later the service continued. We were returning to our seats and Bro. Howell said no stand God is not finished. We just stood in center of the platform as they continued the offering, etc. Tremayne and I looked down and Timo was snapping his fingers by his left ear. (deaf ear) He started to cry - I thought it was from disappointment of 'no miracle'. But then he looked at me with a shocked look on his face. Bro. Haney saw it and jumped up and came to where we stood. He told me to block his good hear and talk to him. I did (where he could not see my lips) with music and all the noise still going on. Bro. Haney, Tremayne, and I began to talk to Timo and he was repeating everything
we said. Bro. Haney then shouted to Bro. Howell and the others that were taking up the pledges "STOP, we have a miracle". The place went NUTS!
Through out the service I would lean to Timo's left ear (I was sitting on his left side) and talk to him - he would reply. It was awesome!
MY GOD IS WONDERFUL!
They have not archived the service or the gallery yet, it should be put on line today. I am sure it will have it all on there ... http://www.upci. com/streaming/ gc2008/archiveSt reams.aspx
We are back in Willis and can't wait to take Timo to the doctor on Tuesday and ask for a hearing test (he was supposed to pick up his hearing aid then - he says he doesn't think he needs it now HA!)
