Is God Still in Control? Is He Powerless?

Just wondering, cause it seems a bunch of people believe McCain or Obama is in control. Some people are acting plumb suicidal over this whole election deal.:crazy

In Brazil they will buy your vote for about anything...a chicken? Some sell their vote for less...

Really Brazil has done well with him we thought it would be mass confusion..he is a people pleaser at the moment. He is not as radical as Chaves and Morales. At one time he seemed to be but that was before he became president.

We have elections with dozens of political parties...it is mandatory to vote in Brazil.

God is still in control of all He concerns Himself to be in control of.

His Kingdom is not of this world and He doesn't sweat the meagerly elements of this world.

Personally I don't even like anyone planting the thought that God is powerless! Like the name of this thread.

We are exhorted to provoke one another to good works.

If a brother or a sister has fallen into a deception whereby they believe that if one (of two) candidates, placed on a ballot by their party, wins a general election, that their world will spin out of control....that person does not believe God is still in control of their world.

The way brethren discuss any particular civil election process does provide a very clear sound concerning the issues of that reside in their heart.

Helping someone back to their earlier confidence in God's ability and control may take the shaking that comes from asking a provocative question.
