If there was a single book besides the Bible, I think that this is one of the best to have. I started rereading it again this last week, tremendous insight and truths. I would to God that every believer that I contact would read it and practice it's truth.

I've been wanting to read Nee, but haven't yet although I do have one of his books. Can't remember which one though.

Many years ago I read a book by Watchman Nee about the dividing of soul and spirit. It was VERY deep and I had to be alone in a quiet place so I could understand what I was reading. I remember him saying that most christians were soulical and not so much spiritual.

That is indeed one of the best books out there. Same with THE SPIRITUAL MAN. Classic.

I read several of his books years ago and enjoyed them. I read Spiritual Man and the Release of the Spirit - I think- I remember they were not long books but packed with very insightful writings.

The issue this book is about is one of the most important issues a Christian can deal with. It regards victory over the flesh and sin, and coming to a place of truly manifesting Christ in one's life.

I liked how he said (I think it was him in that book - correct me if I'm wrong, Keith) Gal 2:20 is like the gospel to the church. The gospel to the sinner is obvious. But the gospel to those already saved is we are crucified -- not going to be crucified -- and Christ can live through us.

I loved that books so much I put it only my links page on my website.

For those who like that book, you will also enjoy Gene Edwards' THE HIGHEST LIFE and THE SECRET TO THE CHRISTIAN LIFE. Edwards eemeed to have taken the steering wheel from Nee and carried on with that emphasis.

I found Nee's biggest emphasis in most his books was getting self out of the way so Christ, within, can live through.

Big emphasis on the finished work of Calvary but in dealing with our sins and the sin factory our flesh by removing in the sense it was also Crucified with Christ.

Big emphasis on the finished work of Calvary but in dealing with our sins and the sin factory our flesh by removing in the sense it was also Crucified with Christ.

I like how he stressed Christ DIED ONCE for sin. And never does the bible say we are crucified more than once when it comes to sin. To self, yes, we carry the cross daily, but not for sin. When it comes to sin, we died once already when Christi died, since it was with Him.

I like how Nee used the slip of paper in the book example. If you put the slip of paper in the book, everywhere the book goes the slip goes. All that happens to the book can be said to happen with the slip of paper. In that sense we were baptized INTO CHRIST, and therefore, were buried, risen and ascended and seated with Him, too!
