I heard this song sang at church the other night, but cant find anything on the net

I think it would be titled "We owe a lot to hollywood"

it went something like:
"they taught our children how to steel,
taught our young men how to kill,
taught our kids how to cheat,
they taught our little girls to walk the streets,
but one thing they didn't tell,
it was dragging them straight to hell.

does anyone know all the words to the song.

Are you related to StMark by any chance?

Why in the world would any church make this a worship song?!?!

The words to the song? OK, this is just a guess but....

It is "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" -NOT "In the garden of eden".

surely you dont think this is a worship song? is just stats how we have failed as Christians, especially apostolic christians. How hollywood has got our nation thinking homosexuality is ok, and drugs is ok, and how been true, real, clean spirited is being laughed at, that its ok to lie, cheat, and steal. If you could really hear this song sang like it was sang, it would prick your heart, probably rise up anger inside you and make you want to reach out more to save a lost and dying nation.

I found out this, what is bad for a nation, is good for the Kingdom.

No, I don't know the lyrics to the song - but I agree that the culture of Hollywood, the movie industry, and TV, and the exaltation of movie stars and acceptance of "political correctness" in our culture has been something that many people have bought into....Our value systems have changed. The "landmarks" have been moved. The straight and narrow is portrayed with ridicule. Good is called Evil and Evil is called Good.

The problem with the Oneness movement here is that we vilified a box full of electronic parts and just commanded people not to own one when we should have been teaching and preaching against the explicit evils of what get's broadcast on it.

Don't know the words to this song, don't want to know the words to this song. It doesn't sound like anything I would want to hear at my church.

That is rediculous...what makes you think because someone does not want to know the words of that song it must be too much TRUTH for that person? Would you want to know the words to "Blessed Trinity"?

all i asked was for someone to help out with the words to the song, and without hearing the song for it's entirety, has been judged by only the words listed, assuming it to be too harsh to even listen to.

"Don't know the words to this song, don't want to know the words to this song. It doesn't sound like anything I would want to hear at my church."

everyone is so quick to judge what they think they see, everyone always wants to criticise someone.

that's not "judgment" on anyone. That is his opinion based on what words you already gave

Wow,

Sensitive huh.

I've heard worse, but within the context of the POINT the song is making, I can picture it sung at a church.

When I was very new to this, I sung "Brother Loves Travel'n Salvation Show" as a special in church and my, my, my!

I would have given a dollar for a picture of the congregation's faces!
