We were privileged tonight to take part in Keith & Jeanie's Installation as Pastor in Turlock, CA. Eddie preached and then did a formal installation for them, before the church. It was a good time of worship and ministry. Then we had a great dinner afterwards, being served by people from their church. Tomorrow morning, Eddie will preach for them again in their Sunday service.
We have really learned to love Keith4him & Jeanie!! They are awesome people and I have no doubt that they will be successful in their years at this church. They have a vision to see what God wants to do here.
Our daughter Ashley & her new husband Adam came over with us and will also be with us in service tomorrow. So it's been good to spend some time with them too!

Tell your husband to give me a call - I will tell him the benefits of this crazy forum!! This is sooooooooooooooo much more than a forum. It truly IS a ministry! So so many here have ministered to ME. I seriously believe that GOD IS IN THIS THING!
By the way, Congrats to Keith and Jeannie. I have every confidence that God will use them in a powerful way where HE has planted them. :friend

Let me say that it was WONDERFUL to see Mark/Thad again! He had just come from a choir retreat, so he missed the preaching, but he did come by and enjoy the meal and fellowship.

It was such a special weekend for us, Eddie and Sherri blessed our church and are ministry above measure.
We went to the Thunder in the Bay Friday night to meet with them, heard Mike Hayes (who up to this point only know him from TV) preach a great message that the church at large needs to hear. It wasn't a TBN health and wealth message, but one of God's provision during the rough days ahead.
Took Eddie and Sherri to Original Joe's, a notable Italian restaurant in San Jose, the food as always was excellent. The fellowship was better.
Let me say that Eddie/ Sherri Cupple's is one of the most laid back, easy to be around Pastors that I have ever met. No pretenses, just real and authentic as they come.
We came back on Saturday Morning from San Jose, after letting my wife go on a $240 mini-shopping spree, at the outlet malls in Gilroy.
On the way home, Sherri gave me some CD's of Eddie latest series and messages. She said that one message in Particular, "Why Old Men Weep" was one of his best messages. Folks I agree, this is a word from God for every church ministry. I encourage every Spirit Filled Believer from conservative to Liberal to hear it. Most likely it's available through Love and Truth Website.
Saturday afternoon, Eddie and Sherri did our installment service, great message for our church, for some time I have been telling our church that they would love them and sure enough, many came up to me after the serivce telling us how much they enjoyed his message about "Pastoral Protocol".
It was a message about how churches need to adapt and respond to a growing churches pastoral ministry, taken from the life of Moses. Very timely and hit the spot in our local church setting.
St. Mark and a old Ministry friend came at the end of service and stayed for a time of fellowship afterwards.
I will post some pictures later today. Eddie will be speaking at our church this morning, we will be taking them to the Wool Growers after church in Los Banos, it's a wonderful, quaint, Basque/Portuguese Eating Establishment that serves excellent food.

Oh, I forgot to mention, Pastor Eddie gave a powerful prophecy to a young man in our congregation and Sherri gave a needed word of revelation to a man who was being troubled by some issues, both words were right on target and edifying.

Thank you everyone for all the kind words, I sincerely appreciate every thing you said I feel so humbled.
It was such a privilege for our church to have Pastor Eddie and Sherri. I feel like the bar of excellence was raised by having them with us. I really feel for many of our members they have never been exposed to the caliber of ministry that the Cupples are at, so I know they inspired many to reach higher in their walk with Christ.
Bishop Cupples preaching helped us project a vision for our church and also for each individual-I know besides Keith - that was some of the best preaching that was ever heard with the walls of that church!
We appreciate and love you Sherri and Eddie! Thank you for coming and thank you for the lovely alabaster statue of Moses-Adam and Ashley are awesome too!

What a great weekend!! We had so much fun, besides experiencing a great time in the Lord. The people at Victory are so receptive and loving. My daughter Ashley fell in love with the women from the recovery center! I was so glad that she and Adam were able to come over with us for both services. They thoroughly enjoyed Keith & Jeanie and their boys. Little David kind of attached himself to Ashley, as all little kids seem to do.
We will definitely be back one of these days. Now that Ashley is in that area of CA, we have more reasons to fly out there to visit. So we will get to spend more quality time with Keith & Jeanie too. We feel like we've known them for years. A year ago this week, they were with us in Jackson!
We fly home tomorrow and it will be back to life as normal. Except we do have MOW coming through town Tues. or Wed., so I will try to get some pictures from that meeting!

Mark....you had to bring up that nightmare again? Ha! Since then....the eyes have been opened and a high up person called Dora, personally, to apologize. One person is not worth it.
Besides...the rest of us have always got along. Even CareyM and malachi didn't think they would get along with us but we all got along and talk to this day.
It's the past. Dora knows she is always welcome in California with her friends!

Well I have always been Charismatic in the sense I believe in and practice the Gifts of the Spirit and do not believe in the cessation of those gifts.
But I do not teach that cultural issues that have been a part of my upbringing and heritage are essentials to the Gospel message or otherwords part of the doctrine of Christ. But I have not wavered on the normative New Birth, we are not trinitarian.

The sanctuary needs some updating, Lord willing start next year.
We have been interim pastor since April 2008, voted in August 2008, and just had the official installation service.

It's "mijo" :)
Well, today I have been kinda busy. I've submitted my FAFSA forms. I submitted an application to South Texas College. And, I tried to get my transcripts from West Hills College (Lemoore), but found out that I owe them for an overpayment that they made to me in 2006. So now I am waiting for someone to get back to me to make arrangements to pay it off...
Anyway, figure I'll take care of all this now, and not wait til the last minute.
I have been looking for work here and there.
