I hope so, for the sake of peace.

They found her but it takes a few days to do the DNA

wonder how long the mother is going to live in a state of denial?

Only until she is sentenced to the state pen.

I think the father knows down deep inside but he's controlled by the wife.
He can't say what he really thinks

I got that same impression.

In the beginning, it was really apparent that the whole family seemed to be hiding something or at least trying to protect the young lady in jail now.

By Florida law, that young lady could receive the death penalty for her alleged crime.

Or at least get put into the same cell as OJ.

They're saying that it is officially her body. That is terrible.

DNA tests confirm remains are Caylee Anthony
By MARK WANGRIN, Associated Press Writer Mark Wangrin, Associated Press Writer 20 mins ago
ORLANDO, Fla. – Skeletal remains found in the woods are the Florida 3-year-old who has been missing since June, and her death is considered a homicide, a county medical examiner said Friday. DNA tests confirm that the remains match Caylee Anthony's genetic profile, said the medical examiner, Dr. Jan Garavaglia.

A utility worker stumbled upon the remains last week, less than a half-mile from where the girl lived. Garavaglia said some of the remains discovered were as small as pebbles, and authorities weren't certain how the girl was killed.

"Bottom line is folks, no child should have to go through this," said Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary.

Caylee's mother, 22-year-old Casey Anthony, was indicted in October on first-degree murder and other charges, even though no body was found. She has insisted that she left the girl with a baby sitter in June, but she didn't report her missing until July.

A search team said they did not check the wooded area sooner because it was submerged in water.

Beary said his department was investigating reports that the utility worker who called in the tip leading to the discovery of the remains had tried several times in August to call in his suspicion about a bag in the area.

"If we missed a window of opportunity we don't know," he said. "I'm not throwing anybody under the bus because we don't know. That's why we conduct an administrative review."

Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, was with her at the Orange County Jail when she found out the news, said Todd Black, a spokesman for the attorney. She was notified a short time before the news conference about the positive identification. Black said he wouldn't comment on her reaction.

The case captivated the community where the little girl's family lived, and Caylee has been a staple on national news as her mother and grandparents pleaded for tips, promising that the girl was still alive.

Caylee's grandmother first called authorities in July to say she hadn't seen the girl for a month and her daughter's car smelled like death.

Police immediately interviewed Anthony and soon said everything she told them about her daughter's whereabouts was false. The baby sitter was nonexistent and the apartment where Anthony said she had last seen Caylee had been empty for months. Anthony also lied about where she worked, they said.

Other troubling details emerged: Photos surfaced of Anthony partying after her daughter went missing. Friends said she was a habitual liar, but also a good mother.

Last month, the Orange County State Attorney turned over almost 800 pages of documents showing someone used the Anthonys' home computer to do Internet searches for terms like "neck breaking" and "household weapons."

In mid-March, someone searched Google and Wikipedia for peroxide, shovels, acetone, alcohol and chloroform. Traces of chloroform, which is used to induce unconsciousness and a component of human decomposition, were found in the trunk of Casey Anthony's car during forensic testing, the documents say.

FOX News was saying something about the person that tipped off police as to where the body was. This same person has tipped them off more than once and law enforcement was looking into this person as someone of interest.

Really? The way I read the article above is that it was a utility worker that had seen the bag earlier and reported it, but no one had followed up. It sounded more like a mistake on the polices part. But they are looking at him as a person of interest?

from what I read today the utility worker that tipped them off to the bag in August is the same one who reported the remains this time...BUT they couldnt investigate before b/c the area was under water??

if the utility worker saw the bag, it wasnt THAT much under water.

I think someone just dropped the ball and the utility worker stayed on someone about it till they checked it out

I think you ladies are right, I didnt realize he was just being insistent to what he saw and was making sure the police were doing their part.

You know how the news is, they make everyone sound guilty of something.

Sounds like he was just being a good citizen.

Such a sad story.

Agreed. I am totally unable to understand what it would take in a person to kill a child. The really horrible thing to me about this story is that based on what we know about it, it appears to have been caused, one way or the other, by the mother being a completely selfish, self absorbed human being, and the evilness that brought forth in her.

I know, I feel the same way and I could just slap her- Sorry I just feel so strongly about this. We are such a 'me' generation.

I hope she never gets out.

I've heard that in addition to the utility worker's earlier reports, one of Casey's childhood friends pointed this specific area out to police as a place they used to go to as children. It would be inconceivable for the police to drop the ball on a case that was getting this much national attention.

but I think they really did....

and the media attention could have a lot to do with that.

Then we have to remember the media isnt always completley truthful in their reporting of "facts" *gasp*

Say it ain't so...:)

I was surprised to see that it was so close to the house and all the searchers missed it. When you factor in cadavar dogs and things like that it is baffling.

that whole "the area was under water till recently" statement made sense - until you question the utility worker seeing a bag in August.

Unless the water came AFTER the bag was spotted.

Yeah, but if you're talking rain water that comes and goes, I'm not sure how deep it would be...especially since it was apparently not there in August. Dive teams find bodies in full lakes. Either way, hopefully this will help bring some closure to those who need it.

This is not the first nor will it be the last time something like this has happened. Having worked in law enforcement I have seen first hand how those in charge get so fixated on something that they can't see the forest for the trees.

I wonder how long it will take them to see that this little girl's death was no accident?

IMO.

Not only is it not an accident, I believe the Grandparents knowingly lied to reporters, police, and media about stuff concerning this case.

IT HAS NEVER BEEN A MYSTERY FOR CAYLEE'S FAMILY AS TO WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!
