How messed up is a Forum when a thread about Laodicea and the church today gets 4 replies and a thread about some whacko snorting his father's ashes gets twice as many replies? :nah :winkgrin
Think I'll go back and post on the Feminists thread. :tiphat :slaphappy
Keep bumping the thread like someone else does when their thread doesn't get enough attention. :D
I did NOT just say that.
That's it. I'm tired... going to bed now before I wander off into some other thread and really get myself in trouble.

At times it makes you wonder. Threads about perfection die a quick death while Your First Kiss and like threads seem to thrive.

Don't take it so hard. some topics just don't jive with people at the right time. I started a thread about the revival going on with the messianic jews and asked if anyone had heard about it and I got zero response.
Someone else started the same thread a few days later and got two pages of responses.

Yep -
We've received complaints there aren't any good threads, however when those good threads are started - no one will read them.
Just keep bumping it!

Hey, I read your thread!!!! :happydance (this morning...but you posted this or something similar to it before [on NFCF?] and I read it then, too.)
Some threads produce responses, others produce thoughts. There's nothing really to argue with here.... :coffee2

Well RRFORD....you are the guy who started the Keith richards thread.....and it had to get a bump after 3 or 4 posts.
You did put an intersting title on the thread. That is what caused me to click on it. That, and a very recognized poster (you), being the listed author.
But, I do agree, it's amazing what gets attention here at AAF.
Doctrine, unless it's a standards thread, get's little attention compared to other more weighty matters.
But, you made your point..

What do you expect from a bunch of car drivers?
rrford,
I understand your angst but here are a few things to consider.
This forum is not only a source of serious discussion but one of entertainment for many folks. It is a place where we can relax and take our minds off whatever cares of the day we have while enjoying some lighthearted banter back and forth.
I am very quilty the last six months or more of reading many of the serious threads but not neccesarily posting on them as I most times don't have the time to do it justice.
Much of my reading and posting comes while doing other work. I am sitting here right now surrounded by three computers! The enviroment does not lend itself to much serious discussion.
There will always be a place for the serious threads of great importance on AFF and I value them highly. Don't be discouraged when not everyone of them takes off with a lot of posting.

I totally agree and understand. As you know I also post a good bit on the silly threads and even follow threads wherever they may roam. At times, though, you post something that you would like to see some serious response to before it delves off into the netherworld. No biggie, really.

Good Morning,
On this day, April 3, this email comes to minister to you. Happy
Tuesday! How are you doing this morning? It's a wonderful day to be a child of God. Have you ever watched a family member die in your presence and the family argued the entire time? You watched their body go through changes that you could not change. Have you ever experienced hell on earth? It seemed as though everything was on a downward spiral. Have you ever been falsely accused by another Believer. They took your service and placed it on trial through lies and deceit. Do you ever wonder why people enjoy causing chaos and confusion? No matter what goes on that person always finds something to complain about. Can you relate to any of these questions? Does this sound like anyone you know? Does this sound like you?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and minister to you. My friend, Whatever Happened To Unity? Whatever happened to One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism? We are surrounded [today] by a family of Believers who desire to compete and compare with others. No longer willing to share with the less fortunate. No longer willing to fellowship with other races. Close-minded! The Bible declares in Psalms 133:1 - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! How can we sing about heaven, which is full of God's glory and love, but not get along with each other ... God's creation. The Bible declares in 1 John 4:20 - If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? Whatever Happened To Unity?
My brother, my sister, we are one body serving One Lord. Many
debate whether Christ was black or white. We attempt to use
scripture to defend our answers. That matters not. What matters is that His blood was red. It was His blood, not His skin, that covered my sins. Whatever Happened To Unity? The Bible declares in 1 John 2:11 - But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. It's a new day. We must begin to change our mindset. We must evaluate ourselves. What can you do to make things better for others? Who can you assist? Does your job lack unity? Does your home and marriage lack unity. Does your church lack unity? The Bible declares in Matthew 18:19 - Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Thought to Remember: Where there is no
unity, there is division.

Not that I care, but is one supposed to publish copyrighted material without the owners permission, or it's ok as long as they are credited with the writing?
Not trying to make waves, but it just occured to me when I read that part. I've posted stuff here and elsewhere and I always credit the author but I have to wonder, is that legal or what are the rules regarding that?
