If I had known what I know now it would be me with the eighteen or maybe twenty two like some big Catholic families I know. The Bustards have alot haha....Just think if it were all Apostolic one God preaching Prophets of God born to one of us. We could be in alot of foreign countries at once getting this message of truth out.

I have 2 thoughts on this family.
1. To each their own... I am amazed at how many harsh words are given for this families choices... it is their choice. We can decide that isn't the road for us...but it is their road to choose for themselves.
2. Man... NO WAY! This is NOT the path for me or my wife. I don't understand their thinking... but it appears to be their desire for life. More power to them... but better them than me.

Sometimes I regret not having more kids, but I realize I can barely handle what I have!
I can not imagine having 18--but I have to agree to each their own!
I love babies though!:D

Exactly.
But so many men just feel less "manly" at the thought of being clipped. I don't know why.... sperm are a dime a dozen (hundred million). Any wino on the corner can "father" children, it doesn't take a special "stud" to do it.

Babies are wonderful -when they are someone else's. :) You can always hand them back to their owner when you are through going "ooooohhhhhh!". LOL

It was a good concept, but I'm still glad I stopped with two. LOL! I can't imagine having a gazillion!! How do people afford to raise them?
Besides, my doctor made that decision for me, so I don't have to feel guilty at not having more. I had no choice.

when I found out I was pregnant this summer, that's what my momma told me.
"you need to get your tubes tied, up around your neck" ROFL

I'm an only child and swore I would have at least two or three kids. God blessed me with one son, whom I adore! I didn't find out till two years ago what a miracle he was, by all accounts I should have never been able to conceive the miracle God gave me. Being an only child isn't so bad......he get's all the attention and loves it!!!:christmaskiss

I've heard this but I've also heard its because guys want to be able to father children with another woman if something were to happen to his wife.
Sounds like planning for divorce or other disaster to me but to each their own.

Exactly. It reminds me of a FORM of prenup although I could see a case made where this would be considered different -since it would only be used in the case of the spouses death. Our only reason for doing it was our age. We married in our 30's and didn't want to start having kids that old. For me this would not change if my wife died tomorrow and I met someone else a year or five later.
