I ignore a few without using the ignore option.
I have never used the ignore button & am surprised at a supposedly Apostolic forum that one needs to exist!

No, I don't use ignore...well, maybe I did once. I can't remember for sure. I don't have anyone on ignore right now.
I do avoid people who post offensively, and that isn't the same as "disagreeably." Some posts/personalities just grate on my nerves, and I can't interact with them very well, so I post elsewhere.
When I put someone on ignore, it makes me feel like a chicken...LOL!!! Like I can't handle reading someone else's opinions!

No, Your ignore list is something only you have access to. We don't care who you ignore. We just know that you can't ignore admin team members. I can only imagine how annoying that is for some at times... because I'm sure there are times that some want to put us on ignore. :D

I guess if I am on ignore I don't really care. If I want to ignore someone I simply don't read their posts or open their pm's or emails. If someone wants to ignore me that is their option. More power to ya. If I am on ignore I can only hope that someone who ISN'T on ignore "quotes" me so that they have to see my post anyway. =)

just b/c a person is "apostolic" doesnt mean they aren't ignorant. I ignore some, not b/c of their religious views but b/c of the way they express themselves and it's really out of ignorance.
Then you know there are some who join an apostolic board just to be contrary...remember LarryBoy? Was that his name?
sometimes ignore is necessary - it has NOTHING to do with being apostolic.

Nope. Don't really care.
I would not normally say something to upset or hurt someone and if I know I did I would apologize. BUT if I am on ignore by someone I can't say that I would care. That would be their problem. If they get offended by something and do not want to bring it to my attention then not much I can do about it. Again I would not purposefully, for the most part, hurt or offend someone.

There's only ever been one person that I even wanted to put on ignore. Back on FCF or was it NFCF? I don't know. Anyhow remember the guy who wouldn't let us shorten his name? As if his longer version of his name carried more clout or something, I guess. He used to make me crazy. But I learned to just ignore him on my own without using the ignore button. Seems like enough people must have ignored him that he just took his toys and went home without us having to say a thing. That'll happen, ya know :)
Other than that, I may not agree with everyone. And sometimes I get a little perturbed at someone once in a while for the way they are speaking to my friends. But I agree with MOW, everyone here has value.
And you know, we're all like little kids here. The one who perturbs me today for talking to my friends that way will probably BE my friend tomorrow and I'll be perturbed at someone else for speaking to him that way.

Never had the need to use it. Now I can't. But it is there for those who need it.
However, I agree with Ron you would think a Christian forum with "Christian" folks would be able to get alone. To season their words. But something we get passionate about a subject and that can and does incite reactions. :)
I also agree with MOW everyone adds to the spice of the forum. It wouldn't be the same without you. Some posters I don't care for while others I love, while others I enjoy their delivery of their content.
Some of my favs don't post much anymore like Carp, and Timlan and Groce and others. Shouldn't start naming names, always gets me in trouble. :)

If somebody's normal posting style consistently bothers your spirit, I think the ignore feature becomes a good approach to mitigate instigator's influence and other folks who are generally annoying types....and who seem to live online.
With the whole "quoting" loophole and the fact that you have to be logged onto the site to gain the benefit, ignoring is generally an impossible condition (probably a good thing!)
I have three people on ignore (with representation from both extremes of the lib to con spectrum). Since I often do NOT log onto the site when reading, I still get to see their contribution.
btw,
I would probably consider it an honor to be on some folks ignore list!

That's the problem with putting someone on ignore. It messes up the flow of the threads when you're trying to read thru them.

Actually, before he stopped posting he finally agreed to let people call him Chance.
He was an okay guy, he just could use a little sensitivity training is all.
He signed up as Chan. He had bad associations with Chance and hated being called that. While I agree that he could be annoying, I thought a lot of people were very UNChristian in their treatment of him. If someone asks that someone not call them something, why would you continue doing it, just to get your digs in.

Rhoni - if you look at your avatar quickly that lamp shade looks like the old timey nurses caps! It looks like you are a nurse in the nursery! LOL!
That or I've been working WAY too hard today!
LOL... That's funny because I thought the same thing... I looked at it twice. Looks like the caps my mother used to wear before she updated her nurse look! lol...

I agree to some extent...... but it wasn't like he was very considerate of others...... what goes around comes around...........
Do you use it? I have a total of 5 on ignore. You? It takes a lot before I get to that point.. but once they are on ignore.. there on ignore for good.
I don't have anybody on ignore.
I don't know if anybody has me on ignore.
Is there a way to find out if I'm on somebody's ignore list?
Or am I better off not knowing?

I don't think there is a way for you to know unless they tell you.
Don't feel so bad. I was banned from one in less than 24hrs and didn't even get to make 1 post! I didn't know my reputation was that bad! LOL
I've never been banned or kicked off a forum but I did get a warning once.
Speaking of EA, it took ME a couple of days and a few posts -and still have no idea what post 'did it'.
I got a warning from them because I said that Bro. Goss believed a person was saved before water and Spirit baptism.

I try to be kind even to those I differ with...usually there is some middle ground where if we try we can have a good conversation.
