My husband's ex-wife passed away last night/this morning. Please pray for our sons and for her family. Our 18 year old son came home this morning and found her. This is going to be especially hard on him, as he is the only one still at home with her, and is a senior in high school.

And, Tamor, thank you for being a wonderful step-mother and caring enough to bring this to the attention of your friends here, asking for prayer for this family. You've always been at the top in my book. But you just stepped up another big notch. God bless you and strengthen you as you are used by God to bring comfort to these children and also to your husband. Ex-wife or not, they had something together at some point in their lives. I'm guessing he will still feel some pain at her passing.

Thanks Margie. Jon took the news very hard today. As you said, ex or not, they were married for 18 years, and they were in the ministry together for many of them. I feel inadequate in the situation other than being there to pray for them. I appreciate having my friends here to pray with me.

It was hard for all - for him - she was the mother of his daughter and for his daughter. All I could do was offer support and prayers. Will be thinking of you guys during this difficult time.

Another thing that makes this even harder for Jon is the fact that they fought cancer for many years during their marriage and all those years just came to a rushing halt again yesterday.

But, I'm praying for you too. I'm a stepmom and I know that often you hurt for your bonus children just as if you were their natural mother, and especially in times like these. God will give you what you need to help your family. In the months ahead, they will look more to you and at times, it won't be clear what they want and it won't always be easy. But God will be there will you. I wish I could give you a hug. You have our respect, love and prayers.
