Regarding Other Forums: JP and CAF???

What are the pros and cons of these two forums: JustPreachers.com, and ConservativeApostolicForum.com.... just trying to get a little insight from the brethren on AFF... thanks!

Saying AFF is ex-UPC is pretty presumptious too. Or that some on AFF lack spirituality is presumptuous too.

There are some wonderful people here and for those things to be said about AFF lumps them into that category too. Not good.

As I understand it, it's for Apostolic preachers.

I dont know if they'd forbid membership to a non-Apostolic preacher who might request membership, but it is set up for Apostolic preachers, regardless of what Apostolic denomination they're in.

IAM, I have never had issue with you. Actually, there are very few people I've had issue with.

And, if you read my follow on comment to Tim, you will see that I readily admitted that to assume the majority of brethren on the other two forums feel that we're lost would be a mistake.

And, furthermore, I respect people that will state their beliefs openly, even if I do not agree with them.

So, to those who have openly accused a few of us on here of being lost, I don't have issue with them - it's God's measuring stick that counts anyway.

I will admit that I get a bit frustrated by the drive by posts that make statements like "All bobbed hair women are going to hell", etc. and I will quickly call that poster out to back up his or her statement.

But, hold a grudge? Not me.

JP was started by brethren who were tired of people holding their feet to the fire when they made scandalous accusations against other brethren. CAF actually has a couple of really fine folks on it (at least a couple) but the whole thing is set up for preaching to their own choir and requires a private invitation to join.

Decry folks like me publicly on AFF and you might just get such an invitation!

I will skip the feet to the fire aspect.....not sure what you are speaking of or what you may or may not have heard......but the above is the why of JP.com

If that is true, it is probably just due to human nature. We are naturally curious about things that are hidden from us. Many from AFF do not meet the criteria to join JP, while those from JP are free to be members here if they choose. They don't have a reason to post anything speculating about AFF when they can lurk or post here as they wish.

Different forums meet different people's needs...I Post sometimes (rare) on JP's...sometimes at GNC and my husband posts sometimes on CAF.

I personally like AFF the best for me... I can differ without getting the wrong spirit...however it is hard for me to read posts that are always judging or condemning someone, some group or whatever...Some people feed on that kind of stuff...I like to post about missions and what God is doing. I enjoy praying for people that request prayer. I am happy when people pray for us and missions.
I enjoy exchanging ideas with others that work in missions. Here on AFF I have posted since the time of Jim so some people I have got to know and have been blessed to meet some personally.
I have nothing bad to say about anyone or any other Forum...I thank the Administration of this forum for giving me the opportunity to post here.

I think many times we learn from our differences, we see other points of veiw although we may not agree. I want to love everyone with the love of God. I want to express truth with wisdom and kindness. Many times I have received e mails or notes thanking me for the way I try to express myself in differences.

I find this forum more open to express differences than most forums. Some things never change. We all have our values and what we feel the Bible teaches as bedrock doctrines.

I pray everyday for wisdom as we deal with eternal souls...Please pray for our family as we glean the fields.

I have learned many things from many people. We were blessed to have Brother Light and some from there visit us here in Brazil. God is good.
