My wife just took our next to the oldest son, Dillon, to urgent care. He started, out of the blue, complaining of his back, throat, and head hurting. They said he has a slight fever and they took a urine sample to test for kidney or bladder infection and a strep test. If these all come back neg they want him taken to the hospital to be tested for meningitis. Please pray for him. He is 16, active in sports, and this could be several non-serious things.

Just got a call from them. They told him he has strep and are putting him on antibiotics but advised that if his headache gets worse or if his neck gets sore to go to the hospital.
I am going to claim it that He has NOTHING more than the strep.

He is home and has started his antibiotics. He took some tylenol and says he feels some better. He is playing it up big. He is hardly ever sick, actually none of us really have much sickness. When it hits one of us it can be pretty hard. He looks like he doesn't feel good. Thank God it is nothing more.
Thank you for your prayers
He has falling asleep with his head on his momma's lap. =)

Thank you all for you prayers. He is feeling much better. He has no more back pain, only a mild headache and of course now his throat it really hurting him.
He wanted me to thank you all.
Now just keep praying that it does not spread to ANY OF THE REST
PLEASE

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers tonight.

I'll pray for your strep throat too, these things run in families, usually when one gets it, all do. Get rest, plenty of fluids and your friends out here will pray for you.

Much appreciated. Thankfully only the two of us have dealt with the strep but I do have one down with a cold now. Poor kid. He looks so bad. So now it is Kirk who is in need of prayers.

I can sympathize. I've had it, my husband got it next-- now my 9 yr old son has it. It all started as a head cold, then went to ear infections, sinus infections and strep throat.
Grab yourself a can of lysol-- and spray everything anyone touches. Door knobs, light switches, etc......
I'll pray for your family.
It's definitely no fun to be sick.
