Please pray for my BIL who had an acute stroke Friday evening. He can not move his right hand and his left leg feels "heavy". His speech seems to be returning and they are planning on starting him on physical theraphy. He will be in the hospital for awhile and really needs his job and income.

There are a lot of extenuating circumstances that I can't go into here, but just know the family needs prayer.

Thanks

Praying. Tell him no matter how painful to do whatever the phsical therapists say to do. If he is like my mom when she had her first stroke he may be able to gain back even more use of his weak side than they say.

Thanks.

I am getting ready to go back to the hospital to see him.

You know when someone has a stroke it affects them emotionally as well. It is heart breaking to see him cry.

Praying! Tell him to work very hard with the therapists. They can really help him. Tell your Sister to look for a good rehab facility.

Praying, Esther. After my dad's major stroke in 2000, he cried all the time. Before that, he hadn't hardly EVER cried over anything. He became very emotional. I think part of it is a natural depression that they aren't able to do the things that they could before. That's really hard for a man. My dad is a walking miracle today at 79!

This saddens me deeply as my mom's older sister had a massive stroke that paralyzed have her body as well as her speech!
I was told by someone who saw her every day that she cried every day for 6 months until she came to terms with what happened!

I always left after seeing her with tears in my eyes & a heavy heart.

I will be in prayer!

What is his first name if I may ask?
