As you may or may not know, TStew and I are good friends in real life.
As you also may or may not know, his wife was seven months pregnant when she found out that there were some complications. Due to the seriousness of the situation, she had an emergency C-Section early this morning.

His son weighed in at 2 pounds, 8 ounces. I'm not sure if they've chosen a name yet, but the baby appears to be doing well. Please remember to keep his family in prayer during this time and don't forget to congratulate him! :)

Bro. tstew and wife,

Congratulations on your little son. Three years ago our eldest son and wife had a
2 lb, 3 oz. baby girl, born by c-section, at 29 weeks. Lexie was in NICU for 2 1/2
mos. Her mother pumped breast milk every day and froze the milk and took it to
the hospital for 2 1/2 mos.
After she weighed 4 lbs.,they sent her home. Her doctors said that was the way
they wished every preemie would turn out. She is a healthy, very active three yr.
old. You would never know she was a preemie. Strong, outgoing and goes to pre-
school two or three days a week for half a day.

I said all that to say, it was not by accident that things went so well. But it was
because we knew a GOD who was able.

Bro. tstew and wife, I pray that your little son will continually progress in every
way and that he will continually gain weight, and that when he goes home, the
doctors who attended him, will know that he did so well because he had parents
who knew and trusted in THE GOD WHO was ABLE!!! In Jesus Name!

Hugs,

I appreciate all the well wishes and really do covet your prayers. Some of you may know that two years ago, my wife and I lost our first child in pregnancy. When they told us that there were severe problems again, we were pretty shaken, but God is good and we have found peace and strength in large part due to the prayers of many.

The baby is still doing well. He is steady and we just pray for his continued strength. I just came home to get caught up on things and I'll be back in the hospital tonight.

Somebody please tell "Sandra" that her interview with Coco that was on national radio came at the right time for me. I will PM her when I have a chance or maybe even post a thread...it was a miracle that I was at the right place in the right 15 minutes to hear what she said in the first place.

God Bless,

PS: Baby was due on June 25...he ended up coming on April 17...just one day after my own birthday.

Mr & Mrs Stew,
one of the things that occured to me during Walt's aneurysm was that we serve a God who knows exactly how every fiber of our being is knit together. In Walt's case, my prayer was that the same God who has formed him in his mother's womb would now heal him outside of the womb.

And now my prayer for your little one is that the same God who STARTED A GOOD WORK in your little one inside of his mama's womb will now COMPLETE it in a perfect and wonderful way outside of the protection of her womb. He is ABLE!! No question in my mind!

Having said that, let me now congratulate you on your beautiful little blessing.

Thank you for your continued prayers. He is still doing well. He is incredibly small but appears to be at the head of his "class". The babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are so small. I will try to pray for them all.

Stew,

PO, all is going well (and by well I mean as sleepless and stressful as humanly possible :) ).. He actually progressed much faster than anyone expected and came home from the ICU a full month before anyone expected. He is still on a little oxygen, but other than that, it's just a matter of waiting for him to catch up in size. It's weird that he's been here for two months now...and his original due date is still two weeks away. That kind of puts it in perspective.

He's still smaller than the average newborn, but seems to be catching up and is a tough little kid. I'll post some pics when I can...I'm not on much now obviously, but I do sneak in for a few minutes here and there.

We thank everyone for their prayers and kind words and JAG we definitely need to get together again.
