I have officially opened the Law Offices of John Degraffenreed, PLLC at 1825 Connecticut Avenue NW.
I currently have someone working on my website at metroarelaw.com which is up but not yet completely functional. As the website progresses I would like to get some feedback from some of you, what you like, don't like, or think should be there.

Great site. I don't read latin.
I think the site will be good once they get all my info in there like it belongs, that has been a slow process. When it is done the only Latin that will be left is Fac Recte Neminem Time.

I could if I failed the DC Bar. If you pass you don't get the results of the test, just your DC bar membership card and a bill for dues.
How was that for a con artist answer?

Must references to a DC attorney and "high" usually isn't a positive thing. You folks are an odd lot most people simply exclaim, "Just what DC needs another lawyer!"
Thanks for all the well wishes. And if your in the area stop by and say hello.
Oh and I will be looking for some input on that website when it is closer to done.

It was an experience. It made me realize that we have almost as many traditions as they do. I had never been before. But I was in a class with Walter Weber and he opened every morning with a catholic devotional reading and always went to mass at noon, so one day I just went with him.

I remember a lot of sitting, standing, and kneeling. Going to confession. Saying penance before a statue.
I don't want to go back to that. No way.

Andrew,
Are you able to practice in California as well?
Nope. Each state has their own bar. Under certain circumstances one can get permission to handle a case Pro Hac Vice. Though I do have a reccomendation for an attorney in your area if you need one. I met him when I was at the ACLJ the flew him in for a trial to cross examin a witness. He lives their in your area, I believe Kevin Payne has worked with him in the past, Brian Chavez-Ocho.

That pizza looks awesome! Don't get up to Bethesda often but I think my son has a baseball game up that way next week maybe I can try it out.
There are so many good places to eat in DC, we haven't even started to try out all the places we want to. One place that was really good was Fogo de Chao. You could gain 10 lbs in there.

Hey Baron, I have a friend who is an associate pastor across the river in VA. He assists Pastor Chester Mitchell, and their church is our sister church as we bear the same name, Capital Community Church.
His hometown in Canada is where I now reside, and his sister travels a lot with my wife and I as well with other friends. We have been down in your area a few times and the next time I come to town, I would love to come see your offices!
The last time I was in DC, I had a blast except for the muggy August weather, man, how do you get through that???

When we first moved to DC we attended CCC for about 6 months. After awhile the drive just got to be too much, but that is an awesome church. Let me know when you are in the area, we can try out some of those places to eaat around here. Terrence Bridges was my roommate at CLC.

They say in DC never go to lunch alone, it is always a business lunch. You are always fishing for new clients so take the guy from the wood stove store to lunch, take the brick layer to lunch, take the guy that heads up the homebuilders association to lunch.
