The treads will be official, I will not answer the others. I have asked Admin to delete them for me, that here is where I will put everything on our work and also about my life with God, and everything I have done in Brazil in favor of the work of God.

---English Speaking Devil ------------------------------------
Not even a foreign language is hard for the devil. The lady was rolling on the ground. She was demon possessed. She spoke to me in perfect English, even though she in herself did not know one word of the English language.

“I hate you!” “Why do you hate me?” I asked. “You have come to set these people free, I hate you, go away, I hate you.” She began tearing at her clothes in desperation.

Oh! How the devil hated the thought that he was defeated forever at Calvary. We commanded the demons to leave her. She calmed down, breathed a sigh, and as suddenly as they had come, they left.

The use of the trinitarian formula of any sort was not suggested in the early church history, baptism was always in the Name of the Lord Jesus, until the time of Justin Martyr when the trinity formula was used." Hastings also said in Vol. 2 Page 377, commenting on Acts 2:38, "NAME was an ancient synonym for person. Payment was always made in the name of some person referring to ownership. Therefore one being baptized in Jesus Name became his personal property." "Ye are Christ's." I Cor. 3:23. TYNDALE NEW TESTAMENT COMMENTARIES:"... the true explanation why the early church did not at once administer baptism in the threefold name is that the words of Mat 28:19 were not meant as a baptismal formula. [Jesus] was not giving instructions about the actual words to be used in the service of baptism, but, as has already been suggested, was indicating that the baptized person would by baptism pass into the possession of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost."

---Jesus, The Great Missionary-------

In my former article we saw that in God's great purposes he had a missionary purpose. God is the God of Mission. He sent his word, his law, his prophets, his angels and then above all he sent his son. The author of the letter to the Hebrews actually called Jesus a missionary. In chaper 3:1 he was described as an apostle which can be translated as missionary.

Jesus maintained the priority of Israel as he commenced his mission:

a. To the woman in John 4:22 he said 'salvation is of the Jews'.

b. To his disciples (in Matthew 10:5,6) he gave instructions to bypass the gentiles and the samaritans and 'go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel'.

c. He stated the magnetism in mission of allegiance of strangers to the Jewish patriarchs (Matthew 8:11).

Look it up: Hebrews 3:1 - John 4:22 - Matthew 10:5,6 - Matthew 8:11

Jesus nevertheless balanced the claims of the Jew with needs of the whole world:

a. In John 10:16 he is the shepherd to other sheep than the Jewish fold.

b. The world rather than Israel is the sphere of his mission (Matthew 13:38).

c. Using the symbol of light for revelation of the truth he stated that he was the light of the world (John 8:12).

Therefore it was no surprise to read in the gospels that often the samaritans are the heroes and it is a Roman centurion who received positive affirmation about the reality of his faith (Luke 7:1-10).

Look it up: John 10:16 - Matthew 13:38 - John 8:12 - Luke 7:1-10

It was the gentile response to the initial mission of Jesus that made him aware that unique work as servant and son was soon to begin. The cross was the next step.

See: John 12:20,23,32

Jesus was a superb team leader in the discharge of his mission.

a. He sent out 12 disciples. Matt 10:1,5

b. He sent out 70 disciples Luke 10:1 He prayed for them, he taught them and he allowed them to see him in action. They saw the way he used the Old Testament scriptures. Then he delegated. It was

real delegation and they were for a time on their own. There were some things that only Jesus could do. The rest he delegated.

Look it up: Matthew 10:1,5 - Luke 10:1

After the cross and the consequent resurrection the mission of Jesus took its permanent form. Luke 24.36-49

a. There is no doubt that the mission is universal: verse 47.

b. The movement to Jerusalem is completely reversed: verse 47.

c. The message to be proclaimed was repentance and forgiveness. The death and the resurrection and the message were to be understood in the light of the Old Testament scriptures: verse 44.

d. There was one more event to occur if the mission of Jesus was to be effective. The gift of the Spirit was to be given. All they had to do was to wait.

So the missionary work of Jesus would now get truly underway. At its heart would be two great realities. The word of Jesus and the spirit of Jesus are the instruments by which Jesus continues to come to us.

Dear Brother

Greetings, It is wonderful we can know how God has blessed us these past years, seems not to believe in the miracle that God has done here in the middle of the Brazilian people. I love it too when it comes to apostolic doctrine and also about the love of Jesus for souls, I am grateful to God for knowing the true message, a message that has to change lives, we can not be held in the teachings of men and but the Bible is our guide to salvation, I praise God for my life of pastors and Bishop Raul and Sis.Janice Alvear and also Rev. Raul and Sister Alvear, they are my family.

Do You Know JESUS?

In Bahia, not long ago I sat beside an old, old lady who is a witchdoctor. "Do you know Jesus?" I asked. She looked at me with such a blank expression. Obviously no one had ever turned her thoughts toward heavenly matters before, and she was solemnized. Looking wistfully at me she said, "There has never been anyone to teach me about Him." Oh, what a rebuke to the luxury loving church! "For some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor. 15:34)

How painful it is to me to see souls like this and know that there are millions just like her. They live in a bleak inward world because they have never heard, "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear." You see, the demons they serve and listen to do not comfort them. Instead they torment them. Their today is like yesterday, and their tomorrow is like their today. To them demons and idols are all powerful for they know no greater power. Their lives are dominated by an unending chain of heathen monotony.

Only a clear, powerful message, saturated with the love of God can possibly dispel the darkness that has so long enslaved these people and set them free. What a day for the Church of Jesus Christ.

Thank You
Several years ago a group of Dorcas Sisters and I went to visit a lady with cancer, who was from the Valinhos Church. We went to pray with he and sing some songs of Zion. As we were singing to her, she walked over and took my hand in hers, and said: “Missionary Janice, I’m so glad that you told me about Jesus one day, and that I repented of my sins and received the Holy Ghost. I have no fear of death, if it is my time to go. Thank you for coming to my land to tell us of Jesus.”

In awesome wonder, I looked at that little lady, all wasted away. Her thoughts were not on her healing, in fact, she didn’t even ask us to pray for her. She asked that we pray for her children, who were lost. I beheld a rare soul dressed in the beauty and the glory of a soul-winner. A real soul-winner is one that never thinks of himself, but his thoughts are of others. My heart is stirred to its depths over the unreached millions. I cannot rest while they die.
