I had the privilege of visiting the Love and Truth Church in Jackson, Tennessee this past weekend and I wanted to share my impressions. Of course, we all know Eddie and Sherri Cupples are the pastors. And, while I'm at it, I want to thank them for allowing us the use of their facilities for the Gathering.
I attended the 8:30 am service, and, to be honest, didn't know what to expect. It was not quite what I was use to. But as Sis Darcie began to sing, I became aware of something very familiar- the awesome Presence of the Lord. Wasn't familiar with the songs... the service was... well, different, but the Lord was in the midst. As Darcie sang "Tis so Sweet to trust in Jesus" (Finally!- a song I knew!), I could really feel the Holy Spirit as people worshiped. No, no one rolled on the floor, no running the aisles, just a quiet, yet powerful flow of the Holt Spirit.
Bro. Eddie's, message "Impossible in Unacceptable" wasn't your typical "All ya gotta do is BELIEVE!" sermons. It was, in fact, one of the best messages I have heard in a long time. It was more about HOW to believe than it was about "You just gotta believe". Inspiring, edifying, uplifting, encouraging, everything, in fact, a sermon should be. He's not just a great preacher, and, as is evident, a great pastor, but Bro. Eddie is also a great teacher and leader. And I can only hope in aspire to one day be able to call him a great friend (now that he knows I'm not just one of Sherri's imaginary friends!).
Seriously, if you are ever in Jackson, a visit to Love and Truth Church should be at the top of your "To Do" list. Thank you, Love and Truth Church for the warm welcome!

Huh... excuse me, but...only my friends get to call me Rick.
Which means, since you called me Rick, you must be one of my friends! It was good to meet you. I meant to get some of your music but, well, they say the memory is the first thing to go. Next time, I guess. By the way..... have I told you......
I :heart YOUR AVATAR!

and I am stuck smack dab in the middle of the two of you.... you're 11 years older, she's 11 years younger. I was actually feeling a little old following her around a shoe store... cute heels she was trying on, but ahem.. I am way too old to be wearing those... I'd fall and break my neck. :D

Sherri and I were talking about the age difference and how it didn't really seem to be there - 53/52-42-32-16...............lol!

no, we communicated just fine....and the youngest was quite impressed with the oldest... you reminded her so much of her favorite auntie.
I thought GA said she was 31... I was curious in the shoe store as she and Bekah were adoring the same spiked heels....so I asked.

I enjoyed Love and Truth Church... the message inspired me and I got poked a few times during the message... that always means "Listen up mom, he's talking to you" :) He was... and the worship in the edge was powerful... the music was great in both services I was in.
I would have loved to have made it for the 8:30 service and heard Darcie lead worship, but I am not a morning person and I had a sick daughter at home that called me all night long.
Beautiful facilities and we will be back to visit soon. We loved Pastor Eddie and Sherri Cupples. They were awesome.

not me.. I love shoes (cuz a 8.5 always fits) but not spiked heels.. I have no desire to have my feet hurt anymore. Somewhere in my 30's I switched to more comfort over vanity...
My girls wear them all the time... in fact, my daughter has a pair of red spiked heels.. at least 5/6 inches that Stephen would like. :) makes me hurt just looking at her walking in them.

Well, I'm the 52 year old and I love the spike heels!! Lol! I will wear them as long as I can walk upright.
Thank you, everyone, for the kind words. We do have a great church and even though Eddie is my husband, I will say that he is a wonderful communicator! I have learned so much from him over the past 31 years. I'm thankful I have a great pastor/preacher since I'm stuck with him.:ursofunny

Rick,
It is a blessing to go into an assembly and feel the familiar spirit of Christ's presence. Christ dwells in the presence of people who are praising and worshipping. That feeling is what hungry souls long for. You can't find it just anywhere, but you can find it in wonderful places such as Pastor Eddie & Sheri Cupple's church.
Glad you had a wonderful experience.
Blessings, Rhoni

As far as the drums, all I know is that the guy sits in the little booth and beats drums with sticks. Is that professional enough for you? Oh....and it's hot in there, so they had to install a fan or something.

When is L&T gonna start webcasting or at least archive the services online? We're in the process right now of getting a new website, thank the Lord! It will have unlimited storage, so we will have a lot of sermons available either to listen to online or to download to MP3's. We don't have the live services available though. I think what will actually be available will be the edited version that we use for the TV shows.

Just note to let Sherrie and Eddie know how much we enjoyed being with them this past weekend. The fellowship, food, fun, worship and of course the Word of the Lord was right on. We left with renewed faith and a desire to get things in order. Thanks for opening your church and hearts and ministering to those of us that needed exactly what transpired. I am glad to know that you are not that far away and don't be surprised if we don't show up more often! It was so good to be with you and to meet the others from the forum that we had not met. Thanks again to Renda for your expertise in pulling it all together. Love to all! God Bless you every day, TCovey and Joe
