What do you all think of this? The Government, the same one spending trillions of your dollars to reshape America into a Socialist nation, spent $328k to scare the mess out of New Yorkers by sending Air Force One and two F-16s on a low fly by.

I feel like we have a bunch of teenagers without a clue trying to run Washington. It's so frustrating.
If the CEO of any generic U. S. corporation had done that, he would be packing his parachute bag with bricks and get pushed outta that plane at 30k feet.
But Obama did it so only right wing nut jobs are mad about it and only because they dont like having a black man in the white house.
(see that idiot Janeane Garofalo's recent comments about tea party participants)
speaking of Janeane Garofalo, why does she always look like she needs a bath?

Lets remember it is only air force one if the pres is on it other than that it is a 747. If the pres was to get on a cessna it would be called air force one..:ursofunny

yeah man, the President didn't even know about this until after the fact.
Again, let's not give him the benefit of doubt.
Let's ignore that protocol was followed to let the city Administration of New York know about the fly over in advance, but someone in their office dropped the ball and so "no one" in essence knew about it.
The ball was also dropped on the White House side, by a staffer, far, far beneath the "wicked tentacles of our President gone mad"!

Jermyn, I believe you are correct.
having said that, would such an argument save a corporate CEO if his company plane were to do this?
this is the hypocracy I am talking about.

Socialist Nation?

It depends on the specifics of that situation.
If this was a Corporate CEO who really did not know and did not have anything to do with the mishap and there are CLEARLY other folks who CLEARLY dropped the ball, I don't think that CEO would be packing his bags now.
However, the image of his/her company would suffer from the bad press of such a debacle.
